Firmware-Update V 1.4.70—80#(beta)

For me, the screen saver doesn't start at all (carousel), and the Qobuz connection has been interrupted twice.

Feel free to share what you discover with this update, whether good or bad.

 

That's enough info for me to avoid.

 

Something weird I discovered with my A8: playing local flac files is somehow not gapless anymore and before it definitely was, even in 1.4.60. So that's a pain when tracks flow into each other and now there's a ~1 second pause in it. Anyone have the same behavior or is it just me? I will send a video of it to support nonetheless.

 

The very slow selection of large folders and starting playback of many tracks (generating the playlist) was solved. Also a rotating delay icon is shown now during the much shorter wait.
Will update my review accordingly.

Will check the gapless playback too.

It worked OTA for me.

 

Don't know about A8, but in my A6ME gapless was turned off in playback settings after the new update. Just turned it on again.

 

Interesting! Gapless was always turned on for me, even after the new update, that's why it is weird. It makes no difference for me if it is enabled or disabled at the moment.

 

Gapless playback is turned on, but gapless playback has gone for me listening to audiobooks with tidal, qobuz and amazon music.

 

Confirmed: Gapless does not work anymore.
Tried with local albums. Looks like a generic problem with music player for any content.

 

I've been told by support that a new firmware version will be released soon.

 

I like the new eversolo app on Android.

 

Yes a few regression problems need urgent fixing.

 

I just updated to 1.4.70 then straight away got an update to 1.4.75

Now none of my local files are shown, either under album, genre, nothing. Can't access any music. Tried restarting a few times. Not happy as I have over 7tb of music no longer available

 

Updated to v1.4.70, still no playback screen when playback starts.
Did factory reset - still no playback screen when playback starts.
Updated to v1.4.75, still no playback screen when playback starts.
Can someone from Eversolo please advise how to get this basic function working again, as it used to work in v1.3.xx.
Please note, in the Playback settings, I have both the "Jump to the playback screen when starting" and "Automatically open the playback screen on startup" toggled to on.

 

Received OTA Update 1.4.75 today.

The bug with the long loading times of new tracks in larger folders (450 tracks, mostly FLAC) on USB drive and internal SSD is not fixed in any way. Loading album cover previews even seems to have gotten slower

While trying to scroll back and forth with great delays, I even got the app to crash:

This is really, really annoying, Eversolo support!




Please fix this. Soon.
It is unacceptable to me since I prefer FLAC over streaming.
I like my DMP-A6 ME and do not want to swap it against a competitor's model which has no difficulties with such a simple thing as scrolling trough a simple file list without major delays (small delays of 1-2 seconds I even would consider "okay", but currently it's 8-10 seconds)

The new app GUI also is annoying. The classic GUI is way better.
The new GUI also tries to write in German, and I find no way to set it to "English". The translation is horrible.
If I switch back to old GUI, it is in English with good translation again (okay for me).

I am getting really, really unhappy with my DMP-A6 ME.

 

Since I updated to the new firmware, the iPhone app won't connect & keeps crashing. I tried rebooting everything & reinstalling app but still won't work.
