An example might be a folder on my NAS titled BlueNote Jazz, which could be 800 albums.

I’ve successfully scanned my folders via SMB on the T8, and the albums all appear under Album in the T8 library. The issue I’m having is then searching and only having a max of 30 albums appear when there may be more than 30 under that name.

In Files, the T8 can “open” smaller folders without issue so that all contents are visible, but it seems to time out (spinning wheel for about 30 seconds and then it disappears) on the larger folders.

I believe those 800 albums are not from ONE artist, right? So the basic idea is to have your BlueNote Jazz folder, and within that a forlde per every artist, inside which you will put all the albums / CDs / Recordings / whatever you call them, for that, and ONLY that artist.
This is a more clean and polite (in regards of the player) way of doing things, IMHO.

I don’t create a separate subfolder per artist, but that’s a consideration. I still think this would result in the 30 album search limit though when I’m in Albums under Library. It would be great to remove that limit, and then I could rely on the Albums option to quickly sort for an artist.

Don't know what may be the limitations of the Android graphical components and/or their memory usage that could compromise the user experience in the terms you describe.
My player has 4GB RAM, and is accessed via a web interface. I own 1600+ albums (about 20K tracks), belonging to roughly 360 different artists.
Now, my library (at folder level) consists of 27 folders, named A to Z, plus a "@" for numerical / others.
under each of these folders there is one folder per artist, whose name begins with such letter.
under every artist are all of his albums (each in its folder, where all the tracks / lyrics / art-images and the like are)
TTYTT, when metadata tagging is perfect, there is no need to use folder-browsing, but then again, that is an old-school practice, so I do not discuss it... I do not use folder-browsing, though, this is a fact.
The library scan classifies all the music by artist / album. I can then filter by genre / year / artist / etc. and can search on every metadata field, parent folder, and any audio characteristic (bit-depth, channels, sample-rate, etc.)
Easy-peasy to browse in either mode: artist / album / folder / filter
I don't know how compilations would damage my well structured library (I hate compilations, and have none), but in your case an artist would have to have more than 30 albums to break Eversolos' graphical listview...
In my collection, the artists with more albums are:
    - Rush - 32
    - Pink Floyd - 23
    - Dream Theater - 19
    - Iron Maiden - 18
All the others are in the 3 to 10 domain... not a glitch. But as I said, this is through a browser; not Android / iOS Swift app framework...

YMMV, of course, as we see.

I'm a new member with an Eversolo DMP A6 generation 2. I'm requesting a future update to the library build feature for artist art to select images in the artist folder called "folder.jpg" first, "artist.jpg" second, scan internet for image third. I maintain a local MP3 music library on a 2 GB SSD installed in the unit with painstaking ID3V2 metadata. The problem is that I have a lot of unknown artists or even worse, an artist with the same name as a newer artist. The DMP A6 either doesn't show an artist image or shows the wrong artist art.

My library is structured as follows:
Folder level 1: A-Z (one letter)
Folder level 2: Artist Name (starting with letter from folder level 1)
    Folder level 3: Album Title

Artist folder names match exactly the artist name in the meta-data. Because some characters like / or \ are illegal folder names, my artist names are customized to remove these characters. For example, every album in my collection for AC/DC uses ACDC as the artist's name. When the DMP A6 scans my library, I find artist entries for both AC/DC and ACDC and yet none of my metadata in 'artist' or 'album artist' have the name AC/DC so I don't know where the DMP A6 is getting the AC/DC artist. Also, I purposely make 'artist' and 'album artist' identical within each songs metadata so there is no fragmentation in the library. Every song has a JPG embedded image. I only use JPG images, no other image format.

Within each artist folder, I have both "folder.jpg" and "artist.jpg". folder.jpg is exactly 400x400 size while artist.jpg is randomly sized based on source.
Within each album folder, I have "folder.jpg" only. folder.jpg is exactly 400x400 size.

This works out beautifully when I look at my library in the files view. However, in the library view, the DMP A6 does not display the artist art correctly. It is too painful to manually update it on the unit as there's easily over 50 wrong and I rebuild my library regularly when I add to the collection. The user should be able to choose the image to be displayed as opposed to be being completely under the mercy of whatever image the DMA A6 finds on the internet (or not).

If the DMP A6 library scan feature looked for folder.jpg first, I would be thrilled. Is there any chance of getting this feature in a future firmware update?

Another option is to store all the collected (and used) artist images into a user accessible folder where I can simply overwrite the entire thing with my own artist images. If they must be scaled to some exact dimension, that's okay too. I'm sure you do not want users to be poking around into "live" software library folders so scan option listed above would be best for all.

Feature request: As per another thread (apologies for the duplication), please consider either changing the screensaver behaviour to only 'screensave' when idle (i.e. not playing) OR have a disable option in the delay time list. I assume the latter would be the best for all (most) use cases.

Hi there. I can see the pics you uploaded. (usually ctrl+v is ok to paste here)
Do you mean the wrong matching? Could you please take a screenshot of the folder, or send the folder file?

Does the standby mean stop playing & into the screensaver?
    No, it's not under consideration..

No, it's due to the harware.

    Dear Eversolo team,

yesterday, I found the time to thoroughly test the T8-NAA interface for the HQ Player. I have to say, it's great – it sounds better than my RPi4 NAA! However, there are still some teething problems:

    - With the right settings, DSD512 works, but only DSD512, not DSD512x48. There is speculation in other forums that this could be due to the USB controller's firmware. According to Jussi Laako, the developer of the HQ Player, this is a typical implementation error of the XMOS USB Audio Class Engine.

    - HQ Player offers DAC correction, which allows individual adjustments to different DACs. Unfortunately, DAC correction is not displayed when using the Eversolo NAA, which is a shame!

    - It would also be great if Roon metadata could be transferred so that the fantastic display could show the albums even when using the Eversolo NAA...

So, apart from a few teething problems, the Eversolo NAA is a great piece of work! Keep up the good work...

    @Zappa55
are you generating the DSD512 x 48kHz on your own...?
Please note that DSD (by definition) is based on multiples of the 44.1 kHz samplingrate, not 48. Any player / DAC is expecting a multiple of 44.1kHz, therefore DSD x 48 are expected to not work...

No offense, but I don't feel like arguing with you. If you're really interested in HQPlayer, there's plenty of information available online. As I've been reading here for months, I think it's a waste of time to argue with you. In the end, you'll just recommend an $8 USB cable. You're arguing for the sake of arguing, with the goal of promoting your outdated ideas. Go for a walk, enjoy life, listen to some good music...
    Best regards,
    Zappa

I do not see the need to argue. I just said that DSD multiple of 48 kHz is not a thing. DSD is constructed based on multiples of 44.1 kHz.
This is its standard, not things I make up from thin air.

Of course HQPlayer could do everything it wants (or everything you tell it...) but since no device expects to handle frequencies other multiples of 44.1 when dealing with DSD streams, you can leave the "DSD?? x 48 nor working" thing out of the discussion. Don't waste time in creating DSD out of PCM: it is pure nonsense. DSD needs to be created natively to make a difference, everything else is a dithering of information that "is not there".

And of course, a 8$ USB cable is more than enough, unless you live close to a nuclear power plant... USB is DATA. Data doesn't need fancy pricey cables to work (unless they are really broken and prone to EM interference, that could corrupt the data, and require retransmission - yes, data works this way)

Then, one might think what (s)he wants, of course.
