    Hi
I do not own a Zidoo but I am looking at getting one. I currently own a Desktop 8TB 3.0 hdd. Will this drive work with the USB ports?
I have 1080p and 2160p MKV remux files on the drive. NTFS format.
My Sony ubp-x800m2 4k uhd bluray player will recognise the drive but it doesn't show me the files.
I currently use intel nuc mini pc and kodi but I get judder.
    Any advice would be appreciated.

    Thanks.

    I don't see why it wouldn't work.

Yes, but you may need to re-format it with a single partition. Android does not like multiple or hidden partitions.

Today I tried to attach a HD through eSATA.
The disk is recognised but not the correct space.
I formatted to GPT as 1 partition NTFS. The disk is 3,6 TB.
Then wanted to copy a series of in total 280 GB but then the Zidoo came back and said I was short of space to copy.
    The disk is empty.

What to do now? Format to something else? Divide into multiple partitions?

Sure there is no hidden Partition? Best use "Minitool Partition Wizard Free" for this.

I used Minitool. Always use that program. nothing hidden. Don’t understand.

Strange. Only 4Kn drives don't work as these have 4K Logical and physical sectors.

I rechecked the HD on another device. Nothing hidden, no errors, correctly formatted, immediately recognised etc.
It’s a Seagate Ironwolf 4TB disk, by the way.

Now it’s in a external usb3 bay to have stuff copied to it. Will take a long time.
then it will be the new internal HD inside the zidoo.
I want to use a 3 TB disk as the eSATA. Not to be attached permanently, but only when needed.
Will be better for power consumption of the device.
