Hello! New member here, considering the purchase of a Play. I have a number of questions that I cannot find definite answers to and wonder if anybody can assist. So… - Can the Play act as a receiver for Apple Airplay 2? (And can it be used as a receiver in a setup with Airplay streaming to multiple devices? - Can it stream onwards to other devices? I gather that it can be part of a multi-room system with other Eversolo Play units, but can it stream whatever it is playing (e.g. various streaming services, internet radio, CD, Phono) to other gadgets? Is there a simple receiver device available that I can connect to the aux-in RCA jacks on other devices to hear what the Play is, erm, playing? (I am thinking of something like what the old Airport Express did for Air Play.) Come to think of it, can the Play act as an Airplay source? Audiocast? (There is a “Multi room” heading in the manual with a QR code, “Please scan to read the guide”, which seems to lead only to an error message!). Is there a full guide to the unit’s multiroom capabilities, somewhere? - Apparently it’s possible to download an Android app to enable direct Apple Music integration? - Would the addition of a dongle and its Android app (the kind intended for in-car, for instance) enable DAB radio? - Is it possible to organise / tidy up the home screen to feature only the apps that you actually use? It looks like a great device, but I need to know it would indeed do what I need it to do! Thankyou for any answers!
Hi - I'm a happy Play owner. I'm particularly interested in AirPlay 2 though. I think at the moment, it is only AirPlay 1 ?
Thankyou. That's a start! I assume it can be selected in (say) iTunes as a destination, and as one of a number of destinations when multicasting around a house.
