Unfortunately, third-party file managers won't work on Eversolo at all. The customized OS completely lacks the Android file access framework required for non-system apps. You'll need to use Eversolo's built-in File Manager or manage files via SMB/FTP over the network

Let's summarize the last 14 days.
    1. No improvement of 1.5.90.
    2. No new FW as substitute of .90.
    3. Mr. Kim is suspiciously quiet.

Is .90 rollout stopped? Didn’t received it yet for the eversolo play.

Kim has already posted a telling message earlier in this thread.

Eversolo has indeed released a v1.5.95 as public beta for the A6... possibly assuming that if a new beta software runs on the smallest model, the final release version will run on all models. They are still receiving user feedback about this firmware, they are responding to the feedback. Development and testing takes time. It’s only been three days since that beta has been released.

Regarding point 3 - upload_2026-8-5_14-57-11.png , so Mrs (or Ms) Kim has made plenty of responses to people's problems and queries directly. Lots of other manufacturers wouldn't have done that at all, never mind so publicly.

And to the glass half empty points:
Presumably 1.5.90 went through initial testing phases and beta testing, the issues weren't apparent. This was possibly due to it being such a feature rich release (500MB is quite a firmware update) and also perhaps the testers just don't rely on the music library metadata as heavily - you can bet this will be tested more thoroughly in future and perhaps future releases will be more incremental.

Lots of people will have taken 1.5.90 and seen benefits (there were after all quite a few additions and improvements). You won't hear as loudly from them though - that's just human nature - and of course this forum is just a small subset of enthusiast users.

People who rely on their carefully curated libraries are understandably upset - but they haven't lost the use of their devices as is being claimed by some, rather they have (hopefully temporary) reduced functionality.
There has been a subsequent firmware release for those who had the I²S issue (which could be argued was a loss of functionality) and there is now a new further release on the A6, presumably to attempt to address problems.

As mentioned above, development and testing cycles shouldn't be rushed, or you break more than you fix.

    By the way...
What is the trigger that make users to have every update immediately when it is known or published anywhere? The streamer streams. The device does what it should do. Yesterday, today, tomorrow.
Are there only little boys and girls can`t await their gifts under the Christmas tree? Often it looks so.

    Hi All,
Just joined the community as just bought an A8 its the first generation, got it second hand the guy upgraded to a T10 plus dac. I have been following the firmware conversation actually super happy Eversolo / Zidoo that they are taking an over abundance of caution to make sure they sort out the bugs before releasing the update, totally agree with Nutul and Mister L take a chill pill people and relax. Better to take a little longer than brick a device then you would be more upset, anyway super happy with my new to me A8. Shoutout to Kim thanks for the updates, my only suggestion if you have a estimated time for the updated release say so I know dev teams work in cycles, that may help people relax .

Totally disagree with you, if they bring out a final release with so much bugs and such a change that your library is becoming a mess this has to be reported here on the forum were Kim can help and report this to the develop team. By the way, if no one installs the official updates, there will be no knowledge where problems will arise. I know it's a limited group that has problems but that doesn't make it any less bad.

    @DeepBlueSky (and @Marantz consequently...)
My words about "be patient" are addressed only to those people that are eager to install the latest version, then complain about bugs.
In summary: if you want your device never to break your music experience (maybe because you use it on a daily basis for several hours...?) then DO NOT perform each and every update.
Wait for a significant one to pass at least a week of hard-core testers and reporters, and then do the update yourself.

IOW, as long as the playback is proven to work (and it is the only thing you care about for your listening experience) feel free to update - I assume that other functionalities, such as library sorting / browsing / genre sorting / filtering / etc ARE NOT a stopper for you to listen to your music. The eventual newly introduced bugs may not give you the visual candy, but they do not disrupt the main purpose of the the player: provide you with music.

I am in no way saying "never update until everything is proven to work", just because the only way to have things to work is by means of testers sacrificing their time to find and report bugs; and if nobody updates, well... nobody reports, and we are stuck.

    Cheers everybody,
    Al.

1.5.90 looks like a disaster. My A6 is still on 1.5.75 and I am not going to force anything. Good thing that Eversolo stopped rolling this out.

  16. Apparently, some Eversolo Play users who have received the new 1.5.96 update are experiencing problems with CD audio and streaming at a frequency of 44.1 kHz. The problems disappear at any frequency higher than that.
