I don’t know, brother I guess you have a better answer, but sometime devices were meant to control other devices. You have to have devices that perform certain tasks or control, certain operations in order that they may perform numerous probably too many to list different operational tasks, which could be anything from medical to something lying on the moon your guess is just as good as anyone else’s, but a Dac is a Dac is a Dac, all five of them different makes and models all perform the same task quite well. I would say None performed extremely well over another one so minor nuances perhaps basically ,everything sounded about the same. That’s my short answer on it while walking and talking not that you needed to know that all have a good Sunday night. I’m going out till tomorrow yes sir Time for a break. My ears hurt seriously that was a long night, yes, sir, but they were all meant to do. They all did very well :) sonically
It’s certainly was a very interesting night way into early the following morning a little too much listening fatigue to I believe upon hours after hours not good !

    * You know something Nutul, your exact statement on the following date as shown on the previous page, in review, I just thought perhaps I would bring something to your attention your statement as follows, on May 27th , 2025.

Nutul stated , It wouldn’t suffice to rename the thread adding/Z10, as it is a completely different device.

Is this is a statement of fact or just your philosophy, In theory. No, no problems just wondering
When time permits ? Please elaborate further :) left somewhat perplexed. Has something changed ?

Narratively speaking, I am genuinely interested,,
And showing purpose of the microwave oven ,idk :)
A Device I would assume, Wright ? Or
Perhaps a non theoretical change of observational or actual views, of a Dac or Device,

    Thank you, greatly obliged…
    My friend

Yes, but here we are talking about a DAC, that receives a digital IN, and has to only route it to another, still digital, OUT: I mean, take that input and put it directly on the other device... Is that so difficult? A DAC is not MEANT to do that. It is not an audio hub / router / DDC or whatever. Let's use the devices for what they are meant for.
In other words, you don't pretend your microwave oven to also cool your beer, do you? This I mean.

eARC stands for enhanced audio return chanel. Therefore it is digital IN, right?

I don’t particularly take part in, I use a smaller
Dedicated set up for use in video only occasionally, Perhaps a little old school
But I do wish that that particular input on the Eversolo, Was an output As do quite a few other folks using the Eversolos Have so commented on numerous times, However, all
In , Sonically, speaking, I do believe the Eversolo units perform quite well,

Especially in comparison to extremely much more costly units, that 4 of us, including myself
Had thoroughly evaluate for approximately 10 to 12 continuous hours of listening to numerous units this past Saturday night
Absolutely there’s always others. but upon complete evaluation and just overall personal opinion again, the Eversolo units sonically performs quite well at present :)

Any news on the price in the US? Also, how good is the headphone amp in the Z10?

Ordered a unit today rrp is £1940 presumably that is inc vat.
    • Fully Isolated Architecture (FIA™), which completely separates the digital and analogue domains to minimise interference and preserve signal purity.
    • Three independent linear power supplies individually power the left channel, system, and right channel, allowing each to operate in an ultra-low-noise environment.
    • Two sets of AK4191 + AK4499 DACs for independent left and right channels - AKM’s Velvet Sound™.
    • Fully balanced analogue preamplifier that employs precise dual-channel R2R volume control.
    • Eversolo Precision Core™ OCXO Temperature-Controlled Crystal Oscillator + Phase-Locked Loop Technology with External 10 MHz & 25 MHz High-Precision Clock Support.
    • FPGA Redefined - A built-in FPGA that shapes IIS data and refines the clock. Every digital signal is thus optimised to its purest form before reaching the DAC.
    • Grounding Post - The grounding post channels noise away, eliminating even minor interference and preserving the purity of each note.
    • 8-Mode IIS Digital Audio Input - Via IIS digital audio input, offers 8 switchable modes and supports up to 768kHz/ 32Bit PCM and DSD512 Native.
    • Isolated AES/EBU Input - Features a dedicated isolated AES/EBU input, fully separating electrical noise between front-end and back-end devices.
    • HDMI ARC Integration - Equipped with HDMI ARC, supporting both ARC and eARC modes for effortless integration into your home theatre system.
    • 6.35mm Powerful Headphone Amplifier Module - Dedicated 6.35 mm headphone amplifier module that auto-detects impedance and adjusts gain.
    • High Quality Bluetooth Module - Features a built-in Qualcomm QCC5125 Bluetooth module.
    • 8.8-inch IPS touchscreen.
    • Left/Right Balance Gain - Offers up to 15dB of left/right balance gain adjustment.
    • Customise Your Sound - Offers 6 DAC filter characteristics, letting you switch freely to suit different musical atmospheres.
    • Full Function Remote Control.
    • High Quality USB and Trigger Cables Included.

Can I ask when you ordered the Z10 today, what delivery date was stated on the order? I can't find any more information anywhere about when it will go on sale. Thank you for your answer.

Just checked no actual delivery date, up to now the actual delivery has followed pretty quickly after the price announcement.
As soon as I hear I will post.

Wow, that's a lot of meat on the table... but 2K is 2K... I wanted (because I am a tech geek) to buy myself one, and give my Z8 to my partner's office...
Now, the Z8 was 1/3 of that almost 2 years ago.
I have to ponder some more... maybe on march 1st next year.

Thanks for sharing the tech info, Keith.

Initially, I was planning to use the DMP-A8 as a streamer and move the DAC to the Z10. Of course, my logic never anticipated such a launch price. Until yesterday, I was waiting to place my order for the first units to arrive in the country; now, considering its €1980 price tag, I think sales of this beautiful product will be a disaster and a disappointment. Eversolo is simultaneously devaluing its own products and brand by introducing countless new products and models, while simultaneously squandering its potential sales figures with the absurd pricing policy it initiated with the A10. Personally, I'm happy with my A8, but that doesn't stop me from noticing that there are still large segments of people who remain wary of the Eversolo brand. And these segments seem to be justified in some of their significant criticisms. If it had included an ADC function alongside the DAC, and if the criticisms and suggestions about the preamp function had been taken into account, I would have found this price point reasonable. but I think they come up with a preamp stage that works like the A8 and A10.

I'm not saying that a device with such characteristics could / should be cheap(er), but considering it fundamentally is a DAC, IMHO a 1000 / 1200 USD price tag would have been more coherent and acceptable.
But this is me, of course, I am in no way in a position to criticize Eversolo's decisions, or discuss their BOM against the final retail price.

The price of the Z10 is lower than I expected, but it's still kind of high at $2K. Has EverSolo discontinued the Z8? I'd love to buy it but it's unavailable everywhere.

Hi, I used Z8 for nearly a year and sold it for the Z10. Though the price is more than double of the Z8, the Z10 sounds much better than the Z8 IMO.

Just your imagination, the only valid way to compare is to have both units, level-matched and unsighted.
Unless the Z10 is adding audible distortion which I very much doubt.
