The Eversolo DAC-Z10 is touted as “a next-gen flagship hi-fi DAC designed for uncompromising audiophiles.”

That starts with the dual-mono “AKM flagship DAC” configuration, which teams up with an oven controlled crystal oscillator (OCXO) in conjunction with a femtosecond-grade PLL system for “ultra-stable, low-jitter clock architecture”. But if desired it can even be clocked externally via BNC connectors.

Meanwhile, the device’s IIS input supports PCM 32Bit/768kHz and DSD512 Native decoding. Other inputs are dual Optical, dual Coaxial, AES and a galvanically decoupled USB. Also on board is a Qualcomm QCC5125 chip that enables near-wired sound quality via wireless transmission, while “three custom-made toroidal transformers” provide dedicated power paths that Eversolo says minimize cross-interference and electromagnetic noise.
Pré-AMP output volume control is done using individual L/R R2R ladder attenuators and also includes a Phone Output. It has RCA and XLR L/R input and outputs using individual AMP sections each powered via a dedicated PSU. The 3rd PSU is powering the digital circuits.
Last to mention is that it includes those essential trigger output and trigger input for automatic switching on/off the unit.

The Eversolo DAC-Z10 is expected to ship in Q4 of 2025.

    For a front picture:
    Front Z10.JPG
Be aware the Filter refers to the selectable digital noise filter included into the AKM chip.

But far more revealing is its impressive back:

Looking at the picture it suggests that the HW board is divided: Left Analog - Digital - Right Analog for maximum channel separation. Nice detail.

Looks like a promising External DAC to me with only a very few secrets left:
    - Is the front panel touch sensitive for selecting those variables shown? The front button is combined for volume control and power on/off.
    Confirmed at launch.
    - The XMOS implementation is not mentioned anywhere but far from irrelevant as any digital input needs to run via it to take advantage of that topnotch clock technology.
Seems to be implemented using an unspecified multi core audio processor here.
    - The AKM DAC type is not mentioned specifically but do expect it to be the well-known AK4191EQ (digital section) + AK4499EX (analog section) pair of chips here deployed in a dual mono setup.
    Confirmed at launch.

Can't think of anything myself to still improve this DAC design without developing proprietary chips for specific sections.
The price is guessed by me to be far above the DAC-Z8 well into the DMP A8 price range.

It's a wonderful piece of art, but why did you post it here, in the Z8 section...?
It wouldn't suffice to just rename the thread adding / Z10, as it is a completely different device...

Renamed the thread for now - not sure what you mean by completely different device - it's a still a DAC.

I'll wait and see when and what requirements are for new forums for the new devices so it'll probably get a new forum at that point...

For me it is also still just a DAC. It even has no Ethernet or USB ports for any local albums or streaming content.
Yes it is a fancy one and likely expensive but still a dedicated high-end DAC.

Thanks' Mark for renaming the Thread.

What I meant is: it is not an evolution of the Z6/Z8; it has AKM chips, femto clocks, etc. etc. In these terms I do consider it a "different device".
Then it's a brand new one, and the thread for Z6/Z8/Z10 will now get cluttered with Z10-related posts (almost) only, confusing those geeks interested in the Z6/Z8.
It's just my POV, of course.

Rather than steam in and create forums for the new devices, I've asked Zidoo what they want to see.

So if they want to see a new Z10 forum (and you may well be right) then I'll move this and any other associated threads there.

Notice the Z10 has a facility for what looks like an external 10 MHz clock via either the 50 or 75 Ohm BNC connectors on the rear. This is a first for an Eversolo DAC I think.

It actually makes me a little sad that you write "just a high end DAC"
I'm pretty sure Eversolo has spent a lot of time and effort developing this DAC, so a little respect would probably be in order
I myself own a Z8 DAC, because I use roon on an Intel NUC :)

It’s a pity that the DSP on the Eversolo DMP-A8/A6 can’t be used when sending audio to an external DAC. That’s quite a limitation, really. In my setup I rely on convolution filters and find it nearly impossible to do without them because of room acoustics, and I’ve never managed to get the same results with a regular EQ. So if I were to get this very promising DAC, I’d basically be limited to using Roon.

I would just kindly remind you that this is a thread about the DAC Z10. not the DMP A-something.
OTOH, of course you can find a pity that the DSP on those devices cannot be used to manipulate the digital audio stream forwarded to any external DACs; but this is not mandatory for a device that DOES HAVE its own DAC. If you want to use your own DAC, the best solution would be to buy a device that does not include one; that is: buy a simple, plain streamer (like you would buy a CD-transport instead of a CD player, if your main idea was to use it with an external - better? - DAC)

Imagine a high end DAC with AKM chips (Z10), room correction and eARC port built-in.

I do believe, what they mean in the statement of a completely different device, at least in perspective of quite a few years I like most of us
That have seen the old along with the new, to myself and description of a completely different layout electronically speaking
With either more amenities that were not so available on the older model along with other different internal component changes and aesthetically speaking also
so I would imagine from a technical aspect that would give them the right or approval to state a completely different device , Z 10 and in some cases
They would absolutely be correct, From a technical aspect but, a new DAC
I would wager almost any amount of money that if I took that new, beautiful Dac , upon its release and where to set it up
in the usual manner and put my cloth cover over my equipment rack with all equipment and all hook ups being 100% exactly the same

I believe I am confident enough to say whether it was A,B,C or D . DAC playing I’m more than likely would not be able to tell the difference other then my best
Guess, what DAC is now playing
Just my personal opinion from spending countless Saturday nights, doing all different types and set ups of comparison one DAC unit to the other
it appears to be a beautiful piece of equipment, and almost certain and absolutely is, but the end result the song remains the same, what DAC is now playing
The only thing basically new sonically speaking I have found as the manufacturer maker and model number, Your opinion may vary
I would view as being excellent if that’s what you so desired, Did too many comparisons too many times and have always
Basically reached the same conclusion, OK, can you pull the cover off now? Which one was playing? Idk :) or can’t decide but,
I do see my 2 dogs ears move about somewhat differently, depending on the unit, Of course that could just be them. I’ll have to ask them :)
But yes absolutely there most definitely are some sonic differences and attributes that are
Sonically present but not to the point of without doubt,of total identification, at least not in my experiences. One DAC to another,
Sorry I perhaps forgot the most imperative part of it all, it’s just another Dac end of story
For myself, your thought an opinion may vary nothing wrong with that, Although some
Folks naturally would not agree, And that’s OK too :)
    Z-10 sounds like a hott Rod , I like that .

You know that’s very peculiar that’s what I was getting at when I read your last post or reply or whatever you’re calling them now
    Have a good one :)

oh well, I figure I would give you a like anyway, For as long as you’ve been around, looks like you haven’t been receiving too many lately, I wonder why ?

Hey Nutul , what’s the problem with the new Dac, no pun intended. You sound almost like a high school kid.
Don’t worry, buddy they’ll be plenty of folks still using that old Z 8 Dac , and why not I use one here that’s from
Approximately 2015, old mytek 192 dsd, yes, sir still sounds fantastic. you’ll be in good shape, And if the unexpected
Does happen You can always go to the dealer and trade that in for the new Z 10 , You know the girls don’t like that old stuff, being funny
That’s when I shut the door and tell them to walk, :)

    The new RME ? / :) mb idk …
    ADI-2/4 pro se ,
    will know more after tomorrow
    Saturday night a comparison night
Will Commence , a few audio folks
    Will compare various equipment …:)
    Should be quite interesting…

Do you think it may be possible in any way
To be able to add any more or any other
    Interesting features, idk
Seriously, just asking , it already appears to be a little overwhelming. very busy and it’s functionality at present idk seriously,
However, it is a beautiful looking unit. It really presents itself. Extremely well, very nice.

Good question Nutul, if one would really want to get technical, To a certain degree, I actually could never understand why
The DMP-A6 & DMP-8 , or also talked about and posted. It certainly appears in the same section , with most entries actually if you look at the forum
Base selection, menu in actuality they do indeed show different sections for the A6 & A8. From a technical aspect I think one would have to
admit to a certain degree, they are very different units, I don’t believe that I would absolutely call them. Different devices
as they both certainly coincide with each other but are absolutely 2 very different personalities internally speaking ect . so what I’m trying to simply state the fact of,

the Z6 ,Z8, OR Z 10, as far as I’m concerned, all of them are standing in the same line but yes, very different just like the DMP units .
So and actuality what is really all the technicality about, Seriously I’m just being
Totally honest and opinion, I see no association for separate entities just my opinion
However, I don’t think you’ll agree, but that’s all good We all have our opinions.…:)
As long as you respect mine, I will always absolutely respect yours, a great deal of
Folks here seem to post absolute standing in opinion, Forgetting the road runs 2 ways…
Yes Think about it for a moment. However I can justify your point of view to a
Certain degree. But yes, it most certainly would be the better, but unfortunately, it does not
Apparently seem to be orchestrated as such. Idk ?

An ARC output from a DAC? That is: a digital output from a device whose main and only task is to convert digital to analog??? Why use a DAC???
There's something that some people still doesn't understand about what devices do... or what devices are MEANT FOR.
