Is it possible to stream to the eversolo then send that music to a computer via us then to output it to a dac via usb to a receiver via rca cables?
I would like to take the stream and send it to my computer then out to my dac to use my dac for the processing. I expect everyone would rather go direct eversolo to dac to stereo. I want to be able to port the music to my computer speakers at times.
I think you cannot do that, as the Eversolo expects an audio device on its (possibly, as you mention your PC...?) USB out; and your PC isn't such a thing from the Eversolo perspective... If you want to listen through your computer speakers, it would be easier (or maybe the only alternative...?) to just share the music library of the Eversolo on the network via SMB, then access it from your computer and play the audio files there; you will be using your computer's DAC anyway.
That’s what I figured. Just had to clarify if it sent an audio out that the computer would recognize. Right now I pull up Amazon music on my computer and send that to my dac via usb and out to speakers or headphones. I really like the display on the eversolo. This could still be set up to stream to my dac directly which would be fine also if I can do that via optical. Thanks for the information.
You can use a USB-C SPDIF receiver to get the output into your computer. I used that to record output from a the LP player. I assume it degrades the signal since that thing is handled by the computer as microphone.
That would work so I can be hooked into the computer audio and monitor the output from the eversolo… if I want direct I can do that too. Versatility is the name of the game for me and the eversolo is all that!!
