EDID thread (RTD1619BPD players)

    I'm really pleased it works well and I'm glad that gamma curve is still going strong after I got rid of my trusty X7000 - it served me well for nearly a decade!

    And yes, I always used low lamp mode too - The argument to use high lamp with HDR content has so many holes it might as well be made of cheese!

    I think you're mixing up HDMI Range and HDMI Signal Format in the Zidoo - Video is always encoded in limited range (16-235) so the correct settings should be either "Auto" or "16-235" in the Zidoo and "Auto" or "Standard" in the projector.

    HDMI Signal Format choses whether the output includes HDMI 2.0 modes or not - leave it on Enhanced.

    Thank you, that is clear. I think I was probably just confused by the fact that the JVC and the Zidoo use the same terminology for different things i.e., standard and enhanced. It actually defaults to standard on the Zidoo. I'll switch it to enhanced and leave it there. Thanks again for the gamma curve and confirmation that my low lamp is the way to go.
