Hello, First of all tnx for the great product I'm rather happy with it Zidoo plays BDISO very well! but still I can't use it(replace my old player) because of raw playback (passthrough), seems that it passes only the core Is it limitation of the SOC or android (can be added in future?) I have Yamaha YSP 4300 soundbar (HDMI). Can you add 'EXPLORER' icon/button to the root menu (for faster access?) or better do it customizable Kodi is unusable at all slow/sluggish tnx in advance!
so you confirm that dtsHDMA 5.1 passthrough? not only the core and not DTS... My receiver is not agree with (no blue HD audio led switch on). Please provide step by step how to achieve that. tnx in advance!
I have found in one thread => The biggest difference for the Egreat A9 and zidoo x9 is cpu, the Egreat A9 use the Mstar MSO9180-DB2 , while the Zidoo x9 use the Mstar MSO9180, Only the Mstar MSO9180-DB2 can support 7.1 RAW audio passthrough, as far as i know, this is the only one in the market, The zidoo x9 only can do 5.1. Using “Explorer” app, AC3 and E-AC3 pass-through works, and TrueHD and DTS-HD can also be heard but down-mixed to Dolby Digital 5.1 or DTS 5.1. I’ve been informed that stock Android does not support HD pass-through (TrueHD and DTS-HD), so it would require customization from the manufacturers. Yesterday I had a chance to test everything from scratch, so my setup -> Zidoo ---> Yamaha reciever (hdmi pass through) YSP 4300 --> TV In setting PCM to RAW applied in Kodi everything is setup like in manual provided by you I have many films with HD audio but none of them are working properly..sound delay..stuttering..disappearing sound. No issues with 'normal' sound - not HD In second I agree I see in Kodi that DTSHDMA sound is being in use, but receiver still shows no HD audio (DTS core, 5 channels, no HD Blue led on!) My second setup with bitstream works perfect! => ps3 --- Yamaha --- TV Do you have dtshdma receiver to test? can I send you Kodi logs to debug?
Could we expect passthrough in our native player the same? Rockchip Native Player - Supported Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD MA in MKV/TS.
Hi, Yesterday found such resource => http://www.demo-world.eu/2d-demo-trailers-hd/ with many samples. Tested with couple DTSHDMA and DOLBY-TRUEHD m2ts files (5.1) PCM and Kodi passthrough disabled: All decoding and playing fine RAW and Kodi enabled passthrough(by guide): Samples with DTSHDMA - > transcoded and shown like DTS on reciever SOUND OK - NO HD Samples with DOLBY-TRUEHD -> 'decoder off' displayed NO SOUND Waiting for feedback
