    My chain is Z9X 8K > Yamaha RXA3070> Panasonic JZ1500B

Lip Sync issues with DTS, DTS HD-MA, DTS-X.

Just fyi, I ran a Z1000Pro, then a Z9X Pro in this setup before getting the Z9X 8K and the Z1000 and the 9X Pro both had no sync issues in this same chain (xxxx> Yamaha 3070> JZ1500B)

Can I just ask to those people who have the previous gen models, with the Realtek 1619BPD...

Do you have these sync issues with the same AV chain?

I have no AV sync issues on my Z9X Pro and never did have some. DTS audio codecs remains with av sync issues on my Z9X 8K.

I had the Z9x with the 1619DR for a couple of years, no issues. Dropped the Z9x 8k into the exact same spot, immediate sync issues. No other changes to the system at all were made.

I checked..I had also sync issues with the previous zidoo. I set it on 150ms and forgot about it.

I just tried all combination of lip sync settings in the zidoo and Denon ( with dts-hd/mkv)
Even tested hdmi and hdmi arc ports.
Arc ports have a smaller sync issue as expected.

What ever setting used I need to input a sync vallue (150ms, not in the passthrough compatible mode) but normal sync)
Then it is fine for all audio, no matter what kind.( Or settings)

is it the TVs putting things out ?
ie Darky and i both have denon amps 3700h vs 4800h ,i get no audio synch issues on anything (cept a possible say 5 -10 m/s) and only difference would seem to be panasonic l1550 oled vs TCL C8

    Zidoo UHD8000
    -> HDMI video -> Sony KD-85ZG9
-> HDMI Audio -> Sennheiser Ambeo Max

With TV settings -> picture & Audio -> Audio Output -> A/V Sync Auto or On = Sync issues
(Only with THIS player... All my other Oppo, Zidoo, Zappiti, players, in the same exact configuration/settings/files, didn't have this lipsync issues)

With TV settings -> picture & Audio -> Audio Output -> A/V Sync Off = No Sync issues

In this specific case, the important thing to note is that it is a setting on the TV that causes the problem, while the TV does not receive the audio signal from the player, which goes directly to the soundbar !
However, the TV is also connected in HDMI to the soundbar via another HDMI cable for the eARC connection.
In the example of the UHD8000 playing a film, the eARC connection should not intervene in any way... but it is also possible that it transmits information when the A/V synchronization setting of the TV is active, disrupting the synchronization proposed by the player when it sends the image to the TV, and the audio to the soundbar in parallel.

I have a Denon X3800H and a LG G4 - and get sync issue with lossless DTS. HDMI goes from Zidoo to AVR and then AVR to TV. I use the TV's eARC HDMI port as I use this for audio out from the TV's own apps.

My tv has all sync stuff off. It says it knows the AVR does the audio.
But I can try some some settings to see if it changes ( hdmi control in the denon.....and passthrough settings for audio on de TCL)

    Hi,
I did some tests to check with sources DTS, DTS-HD-5.1-7.1 with :
    Z9X 8K > Denon X4800H > LG G3 = NO LIPSYNC ISSUES.

This sort of makes sense - Auto Lipsync in an amp for example will use information passed back by equipment upstream in the HDMI chain to calculate and apply delay. This is completely independent of the source.

In your case, the TV uses its own information since nothing else is upstream, but because you use the soundbar, that information is invalid, so you should leave auto lipsync off in the TV - presumably the soundbar sorts itself out.

Firmware 1.1.7 released today seems to have helped for me as well.

*EDIT* - @Markswift2003 I seem to still have issues with DTS files. I'm now using the Spears and Munsil track to test and it's definitely off by around 125-150ms.

Got the 1.1.70 firmware update and I still have the exact same 150ms AV sync issues with all DTS format. TrueHD and other formats are still correctly in sync also. So not fixed for me just like for blenky unfortunately. :(

Remind me what your HDMI chain is?

Actually, don't - Doh. It's on the first post :)

    It's early here.....
