    I also still have DTS sync issues, no difference on latest firmware.

    Zidoo Z9X 8K > Denon 3800H > Sony A95L

    EDIT :

    I just changed my HDMI chain to:

    Zidoo Z9X 8K > Sony A95L > Denon 3800H

    ..and now DTS is in sync!!!

    EDIT2:

    Triple checked by moving back to original configuration and DTS sync issue back.

    So for me at least sync issue on DTS only occurs through AV Amp.

    Yes but that means you are using eArc on the chain that works right? I don’t want to do that and other audio codecs and players are ok without eArc.

    I'm utterly baffled by this - I have two permanent Zidoo setups, both with Denon Receivers and neither have lipsync issues.

    In the cinema I have to use auto lipsync on the Denon 8500 because the settings I use on my projector introduce a 198ms delay in video - nothing to do with the Zidoo. So that's compensated for all codecs by the Denon and the fact it works means that all audio and video coming out the Zidoo is in sync.

    The other setup is to a Samsung TV and that Denon has a manual audio sync setting which is set to zero - the Samsung is not introducing a video delay. Again, everything in sync which means all audio and video coming out the Zidoo is in sync.

    I hoped this thread would find some common denominator but it hasn't although the one interesting thing is that this firmware has fixed the issues previously experienced by two members with what I would term "esoteric" processors - a Trinnov and an Anthem.

    The fact that @Lee Wallace above can fix the issue going Zidoo > TV > Receiver, presumably using eArc means that again, as with my setups, in that configuration the video and audio are coming out of the Zidoo in sync as there would be no noticable latency with either connection.

    @Creator44 - quick question - which comes first in your setup, audio or video?

    Audio always comes first on all the media players with AV sync problems probably because of tv processing delay of the video.

    Samsung TVs delays are quite lower than Sony TVs like mine or Lee Wallace’s so there might be a delay on your Samsung but you don’t see it like you see it on your projector without auto av sync ON. We have. About 150ms on Sony. Even that can be hard to spot for me, it’s easier seen on 4k than 1080p as I noticed using your av sync test videos. It can be hard to see the delay on 1080p dts videos versus 4k dts ones.

    The question is: why is the sync not applying only on dts and only on some players and not on others like my Z9X Pro which is ok all around? Z9X 8K is not alone with that problem on my setup as I previously mentioned… Dune 8K also does that and ugoos too… all AMLogic boxes… that’s the common denominator. I think on dune truehd is out of sync too as they never fixed that like zidoo did.

    I have auto sync in AVR and TV. Tried messing with both (on or off) and it changes nothing.

    If it’s too complicated to truly fix change the passthrough compatibility mode to have the delay set there be used only when audio equals one of the dts formats? Only dts seems affected. It would be a « patch » but it would work.

    I don’t like eArc as it’s unstable and depends on the TV eArc passthrough capabilities and I need the eArc port as a normal HDMI IN on my setup because I use one port for 4K 120 (gaming) and one for 4K DV as X95K can’t do both 120 and DV at same time without switching HDMI port config deep in the tv menus everytime.

    seems to be some processing between just certain tvs and the receivers, seeing whats sent from ziddo (but isnt being sent? if 8k swapped to realtek chips)

    ie z30 8k > denon 3700 >Panasonic l1500z is synch issue free ,still

    so its an extra step of processing by the new chips to work with certain tvs ?

    Same AVR as me… I wonder if the vrooom somehow fixes it? Would be interesting to see how the sync performs without the vroom in the chain.

    Was watching Muse Live At Rome (DTS-HD) on my z9x 8k with the latest firmware and I noticed it coming out of sync more than once, which fast forwarding fixed. I'm hoping it's just something with the file. Naturally, I started looking at the Spears and Munsil sync clips again and I noticed something. The audio in the DTS-HD clip is definitely ~1 frame faster than the TrueHD clip. This isn't anything like the very noticeable I was having with the original firmware, but there is definitely something off between those two files. I had not updated my Z3000 Pro yet, so I decided to look at the clips on it and I noticed the same thing. It's happening on the latest and previous firmware.

    z98k-->marantz c50-->samsung s95b
    z3000 pro-->denon 4800h-->sony a90j

    Edit: This looks like it might be a nothingburger. I hooked up my Z20 Pro and I notice the same minor discrepancy in the sync there as well. Next I'll try the Z20 Pro into my LG OLED and just use the internal speakers

    Edit #2: Well, this is interesting. With the Z20 Pro hooked up directly to my LG the sync between the two files is fine. I then decided to move my Z9X 8k to the LG and the DTS-HD audio is off from the TrueHD audio by a frame again. So weird

    Edit #3: Connected the Z9X 8k directly to my Sony. I swear DTS-HD is off on these AML devices by a bit. Maybe not a whole frame, but it's definitely starting before TrueHD is with these clips.

    First try with the 1.1.70 firmware update earlier and I also still have the 150ms AV sync issues with DTS.

    A quick 150ms switch in the settings and its fine, not hard to do if im honest.

    Funnily enough, I stuck the Z9X Pro in its place for a quick comparison......No sync issue.

    The 1.1.70 update in my case solved the lip sync problem with DTS, DTS HD High Resolution and DTS HD MA.

    Hello, I switched from the z9x Pro to the 8k! The menu is much faster. BUT... DTS HD concert was really asynchronous yesterday. The 8k is on the Marantz Cinema 40 and the one on the LG Oled 77C29

    Firmware 1.1.70

    z9X 8K ——> Marantz Cinema 40–> LG 77C29

    After the latest firmware some of the dts streams are fixed. But now some FHD blurays get way out of sync.

    Zidoo Z30 Pro(1.1.70) -> LG G4(eARC) -> Deembedder -> Onkyo 606

    No sync issues with DTS, DTS-HD Master Audio.

    BTW, LG G4 support full pass-through all HD audio formats. Works great. I don't have to replace my 15-year-old receiver, which doesn't support ARC or eARC. The deembedder helps transmit TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio from Zidoo to the Onkyo 606.

    No "passtrought fix" option enable in zidoo.
    No sync or lipsync problems with dts ,dts hd and dts x movies....

    There are four possible places where lipsync can be adjusted.

    There's the Compatibility setting in Settings/Audio which is to tackle the TrueHD issue that some people have or had.

    There's the Global Audio Offset in the context men whilst playing a file.

    There's usually a lipsync setting, either manual or automatic in the amp.

    There's sometimes a setting in the TV

    I can't help wondering if some of those still with issues have some of those settings wrong - for example, an unneeded adjustment in the Compatibility Setting could lead to an unneeded adjustment in the Global Setting or amp setting (which, don't forget, might be automatic) and that could result in TrueHD being correct and DTS being out.

    Just a thought.

    I've tried all types of settings to no avail. Lossless DTS continues to be slightly out of sync while all other codecs are fine.
