I have exactly the same soundbar but I have lipsync. From what I'm seeing around here, almost everyone with an LG OLED has lipsync issues.
Is there anyone with an LG OLED who doesn't have any problems?

This continues to be completely baffling with no rhyme or reason as to why some people suffer from it and some don't.

It's been on my buglist for ages and recent firmwares seem to have improved the situation for some people - as far as I remember that started at v1.1.70.

I agree with you concerning the fact that many LG TV have audio sync issue with DTS (personnaly I have a LG OLED 65G4 and Lipsync issue) but why only DTS and not all audio formats ?

@Markswift2003 - add me to the list of no lip-sync issues (any codec) on the latest firmware.

    Z9X 8K > Onkyo TX-RZ800 (auto lip-sync off) > Sony Bravia OLED A85

I found something on Reddit that can help some people with LG TV : just Google "LipSync… a story (solved permanently)"
In this article, the guy could solve lipsync issues by having TrueMotion option OFF and Audio Outputs options set to Bypass mode. For me it does not resolve anything as I am using the Z3000 Pro HDMI Audio output.

I don't have an issue, never had. That said I always play my UHD8000 via my Receiver if that makes a difference

    @Jeanmi
Seems like most people here connected the Zidoo to the AVR, dont see any reason to change anything on the TV and hell no even if it would fix it I would never turn TrueMotion off :D

I kinda stopped doing that last year as I'd given up trying to find common denominators, but happy to oblige!

By the way, the Auto Lip Sync on the Onkyo is a good point to make.

It uses a value defined in the EDID to generate a delay at the amp due to video processing in the display but it's generally only applicable to projectors and video processors - I don't think I've ever seen a standard TV EDID (or AVR one) that defines a value.

However, my projector for example, has a 195ms processing delay defined in EDID so if you don't use the AVR's auto lip-sync function it can seem like the source is at fault when it isn't - this has caught me out more than once when I use custom EDIDs in HDFury devices upstream of the AVR (doesn't affect custom EDID in the Zidoo because that's downstream of the AVR).

But nevertheless, it's a good thing to understand.

My tv. is LG OLED55C9PLA and I don't have lipsync problems with any movie format I play on UHD8000.

@Markswift2003 do you think anything is gonna happen to fix this issue due to the variety of systems involved?

@Markswift2003 : could it be possible to create a custom EDID based on the original one but specifying a xxxms delay generation at the AVR for specific audio format (I think of DTS of course) ?

I honestly have no idea what the status is with the devs - Like me, I don't think they've ever replicated it.

Not for a specific audio format, no - the EDID spec doesn't allow for that. And even if it did, it would need to live on an HDFury device (or similar) upstream of the AVR - as I say, it's of no use in the source since that's downstream of the AVR.

Both systems Denon, one with LG OLED, maybe its just a tiny little setting nobody thinks about?

In the AVR is nothing more than setting 4k/8k format to enhanced/8k enhanced or I am missing something?
Okay theres also the lip sync option, but with no effect.
    In the Zidoo I tried:
    Audio/HDMI Setting/Decode: Auto / RAW
    Audio/HDMI Setting/Volume passthrough mode: On/Off
    but nothing changes at all.

I have a AudioQuest Pearl HighSpeed with Ethernet 50cm cable from the Zidoo to the AVR and from the AVR to LG a "Ubluker" Ultra High Speed 3m cable from Amazon.
I tested ALL my cables via Denon CI-menu, every cable passed every check, I dont have such kind of problems elsewhere :/

The only way to enjoy any DTS movies is to set a 125ms delay..

So 90% of the time we'll have to keep the DTS audio delay and for now some other assorted hitches on a €1400 machine? It's a real shame that Oppo no longer produces 4k players, I've always been happy with them and I was wrong not to buy a 203 when I could.

Yesterday I was watching a movie on my Panasonic Blu-ray player and I focused specifically on the sound sync.
And to my surprise, I found that the DTS track was also out of sync.
I played with it on the Z9X Pro today and the result is the same.
I think the problem is in my Denon AVC3800H. It seems that the current firmware in this AVR is faulty. Dolby tracks are ok, but DTS are out about 100-150ms.
    I'll try the Z9X 8K again today.

Same Denon, no issues with my Sony X800M2.
Try 125ms delay, seems perfect for me when watching a movie via Zidoo and DTS track.
