Yes, but what you say is obvious from long ago when AV industry was highly developed. Then MP manufacturers and devs are fitting to find a fix from so wide variety of audio/video devices that some times takes long. See other competitor as Dune how they are facing more or less same issues with new AML soc. The key in this battle field is to provide as much information we found and let Zidoo team to find solutions.

Yes I agree with you. But one question for you. In Romania an uhd8000 costs around 1400eur and the medium income is 450-500eur/month. I ve bought the z30 because it costs 450Eur, but again not cheap. You make a big financially effort to buy it and have big expectations because is an expensive piece/flagship and you say that u'll not have to buy a new one for a few years. You receive the product and surprize is not what you ve expected. Till the problems are fixed your products is outdated and new models are out with "better" or improved functionality. So in this conditions would you have bought it? Or regret it? I had to choose from z1000, z2000 or z30. And I choose z30 for the codec AV1 thinking in the future.

I agree that is crucial now to make reports for all the bugs and have hope that everything in a near future will be fixed.

My old x10 is still working aprox fine after 7years off daily use. Myself I ve upgraded thinking that the old box will die soon. But is working fine in the bedroom.

Tested right now 2 4k Atmos files x265 with that settings the Atmos track is in sync. Also tested again Dts HD MA in sync. I don't have a DTS X file to test it.

I fully agree with you and hope Zidoo consider users as important valuable to care, listen and fulfill their expectations.

I only tested a couple of DTS and Atmos tracks last night, will test further and see how it goes...

@Markswift2003 I have a Denon X3800H, I know when you press the 'Option' button, 'Audio delay', you can set the Denon auto audio sync feature (mine is on), does this feature only work with CEC and on hdmi port 2 (arc port) of the TV, or is this feature arc port independant? As I have my denon plugged into HDMI1 of the TV, as HDMI port 2 (arc port) causes crazy CEC issues with my set up.

Another question please - is there a way to measure the audio sync being in or out of sync without any special equipment at home? and ofcourse without solely relying on your eyes as sometimes when you are focusing too much on trying to confirm lip sync I start to sometimes doubt myself lol

I suggest buying CEC less adaptors and put them been each device and it's HDMI. I have real issues with Zidoo and my ATV without one.

Audio delay on Denons is not related to CEC - it's either a manual setting or it's driven by the latency setting in the EDID if advertised.

Latency is usually on applicable to projectors - I've never seen a TV with an advertised latency in the EDID.

Yes, there are audio sync test patterns available that allow you to measure it with a decent amount of accuracy - the best ones are on the Spears & Munsil disc because they have various audio codecs, video codecs and resolutions.

Watched another Atmos movie last night it is surely out of sync, but the DTS remains in sync.

So for me I concluded setting the +150 and -150 does resolve the DTS but de-syncs Atmos. I guess its not a global fix then......

So just to be clear... You think it's less complicated to have to turn on the TV in order to listen to music? We will definitely agree to disagree on that one. These devices have dual HDMI for a reason. And many of us buy them for that purpose. That does not excuse Zidoo from horrible QC. And weren't you the one who said something like, these 8k units will be the most capable, tested and bug-free upon release Zidoos to date? Correct me if I am wrong.

in order not to open the TV to use the player only on audio via hdmi, the signal must follow the path: zidoo-sound system-television...
I have never had audio synchronization problems with zidoo z9x8k, and for the past 2 weeks, neither have the other problems on the image side, the previous version was dust and powder...

Is it known if the Zidoo devs are actively investigating/working on this issue? If they are not able to reproduce it themselves, surely they have some kind of debugging firmware, which affected users could volunteer to install to gather more information?

My understanding is that the devs cannot reproduce the issue therefore difficult to diagnose and fix…I have returned my Z3000pro until it is fixed…I’m guessing it won’t be fixed since you can’t fix something if you can’t reproduce it….i’m still hopeful though, fingers crossed!

I just received my Z9X 8K and I must confess that I was quite disappointed with this problem, which I consider SERIOUS. What's the point of having a box as powerful as this one when you can't watch a movie with synchronized audio? It's the least that can be demanded.
I preferred to buy a little more expensive on Amazon to have 30 days to test, but from what I'm reading here it's a well-known problem that still persists.
Then I'll have to go back to my old €40 box. So few hours with Zidoo and I'm simply loving this little device! Pleas fix it!!!!

I have the Z9X 8K with the latest firmware. The video is about 200 ms behind the sound when I play DTS-HD MA over the Zidoo's Optical output (to a headphone DAC) with the PCM option. PCM and FLAC tracks appear to be in sync. Don't know about Dolby tracks. When I use HDMI audio, DTS is in sync.

    Z9X 8K to Denon S760H to Sony A80K

I had Z9X 8K via eARC and no problems, now I have the Z3000 and have connected it directly to Denon via HDMI Audio (Auto) (Lippsync is not active). Yesterday I tested a couple of films with DTS HD and DTS HD MA,
specially switched to English track, everything is in sync for me. I usually watch films in German and don't look too closely at the mouth, although they do a good job of matching lip movements.
But I notice immediately when other sounds are not right, a gunshot, the door closing or something else. I haven't noticed any synchronisation problems so far.

Yes, welcome to the list of "no lipsync issues". Your setting is very close to mine without lipsync issues as well.

Hey guys, just signed up to this forum to join the lipsync issues club

I recently bought a Z9X8K and I would be super satisfied, if there werent any sync issues in all audio formats but Dolby Atmos.
It needs like 100ms and of course I dont want to switch on and on.

I read the whole thread and Iam afraid there wont be any fix in the future and I have to return it

    My setup:
    Zidoo Z9X 8K -> Denon AVC X3800 -> LG OLED C3

I tried literally everything in the settings, nothing gonna fix it but setting delay to 100ms...
