Does anyone know if there is any version of Downloader that will work with the Z3000 Pro please? The latest version is just stuck on "connecting" forever, I was told older versions may work but I have tried a fair few but they all either show error messages or connecting? Thanks in advance.
Not sure if this is any help to you but it enabled me to get my apps I needed to download. If you type aftv.news/XXXXX+ (X being the code) into a web browser it will give you the url, obviously sometimes these are ridiculously long so I just copied it and emailed it to myself and opened the link in gmail on my media player, then was able to download.
thank you anyway, i believe install via USB more faster then, hope Zidoo support team can fix this soon.
Sorted this now, if you go to advanced settings on the Zidoo box then apps, find the downloader app there was a option in that which was set to “deny” by default switch that off and now it works
Setting > then scroll across to “other settings” then down to the very bottom “About” then across to “Advanced settings” then select “Apps” then “see all apps” until you find the Downloader app.
might be the version you d/l ?? @Simmy what version did you end up using and was it the apk, or some other file ?? thanks... (interested as well)
I tried all versions old and the latest to no avail, ended up back at the latest version downloaded through the Play store, that's when I discovered "deny" was turned on as default in settings, I tested it once after and it worked no problem at all. I'm guessing the older versions would have worked too if I had realised about the deny setting.
got ya.... so you must be running the G version ?? haven't installed that yet, and was looking for a source for apk that work and are safe... I slid my z9x to the g version right before i got the z9x 8k, so haven't played with it much, moved it to another tv in the house..
Tried Downloader on my z9x 8k... under files, error on bottom, could not access directory ... permission enabled.. Unable to download anything with it... Uninstalled it... this was the latest version on the play store, running G version
Have you gone through advanced settings like I had to above? The button that fixed it for me was named “deny” which was on by default.
In the app permissions for Downloader, advanced settings, apps,... yep.. I enabled files from deny.. did that right away... Kodi had some issues backing up to the default as well... Not sure if the z9x 8k is locked down more on the os side... or something... had to use a thumb drive or nas for backup.. discovered that when I first started playing with the box....
