I have the screensaver set to 30 minutes but I am wondering if I can get away with disabling it. I assume on this LCD screen on the eversolo that burn in isnt a real issue? If it's safe I would rather disable the screensaver altogether and just enjoy the album art and the visualisations.
I have the screensaver set to blank at 5 minutes, and wish that it could be even shorter. Maybe Eversolo could make the value easier to customise, but I have no wish to watch a tiny screen at the other side of the room, I just listen to the music.
I've made requests here to have an option to disable the ss completely. I either want to see album art or the UVs and don't want it to go dark.
Signal to Noise there are problems with screen burn in with DLP screens. So if the same thing is on screens for hours it can leave a permanent artifact. Definitely prefer screensaver coming on to prevent that. I would like TV-out so song info, VU or Spectrum can be shown on TV. MY A8 is 15’ away from primary listening position. Roon can do this in a limited manor.
We all have different preferences. I have the screensaver come on as a blank screen at 5 mins - and wish that it could come on sooner! If Eversolo ever change the screensaver options, then they should certainly retain the option to set the screen saver to come on, and ideally at 1 min minimum.
I brought up the screensaver issue on other chats but will continue to press. When I stop planning music (ie: no signal coming through) the screen reverts to the last played song until the screensaver turns on, which I have for 2 hours because I don’t want the current screensaver to turn on when I am listening to music. There should be an option that when there is no signal the screen saver will turn on after a certain amount of time just like on computers instead of having the screensaver turn on just based on time. As you can see by the photo the Eversolo looks kind of dumb, showing the last song I played yesterday, even though when I took the picture there was nothing playing.
