Do the BPD range play 2160p AV1 HDR and DV files?

As per the title, or is support limited to 1080p etc?

    Ta.

Actually I don't - I don't have any HDR AV1 content and I honestly can't remember if the SOC supports AV1 in hardware or not - I don't think so...

AV1 in DV is problematic - it's a new Profile (Profile 10) and I have a couple of samples but I'm unsure of their provenance and they just seem to crash the box.

Unlike the specs for the 8K boxes, no mention is made in the specs of the BPD boxes.

thanks @hdmkv - I was just looking to see if the hardware decoded it - do you have a player and it works ok?

I've had perfect success playing 4k AV1 10bit HDR files, all in hardware, no issues or weirdness. but I haven’t tested any AV1 DV files because they are just so uncommon and i personally have no need for them.

Even AV1 I only have a couple of my own test encodes and that's it. if a file is available in 60gb HEVC or a 5gb AV1 file I'm taking the HEVC every day of the week.

I do plan to do some high bitrate AV1 testing since I have some fat DCP sourced files with 4:4:4 MJPEG2000 to play with (sadly the Z2600 wont play them) but I don’t have the balls to leave my server at 100% CPU usage for a month (in the peak of a hot Australian summer) to get that encode done.

Plays without any issue on the Zidoo Z9X Pro.
