Indeed they do. @Zidoo Support-Kim is a regular to this thread. See post #997 for her last post here as of now.

Can we look forward to an A6 with LINE IN, video HDMI OUT, and all inputs, both analogue and digital routed through the SoC to be able to use PEQ, VUs, RTA, etc., with all inputs, not just the player: GEN 3? I believe the PLAY already does the input routing?

Ans please add 7.1 Flac and Atmos to the list, as well as Alexa support.

You're a member since 2023 and aren’t aware that Atmos has already been discussed … and discussed … and discussed?

An Atmos licence costs money. Money that Zidoo isn’t willing to spend or to pay through to the customer. I assume the same goes for an Amazon licence.

Atmos only costs license, if you decode it. Eversolo could just enable a passthrough. And if it´s a problem with Amazon, then there´s also Tidal with Atmos sound, which Apple TV or the Shield are able to handle. If they can do it, Eversolo could do it, as well. Unfortunately, neither Apple TV, nor the Shield are the kind of devices I would like to use for music streaming.
And yes, it has been discussed over and over. On the other hand let’s make sure this topic doesn’t sink beneath the waves.

What does that have to do with the Alexa support you requested?

Nothing. My reply was about Atmos Music.
But since you can control many devices via voice, I would like to do the same with an Eversolo device. At the moment I do it with my Cinema 30 and its HEOS system. When I´m not sitting in my listening position, but working on my computer, it´s very handy to control volume or tell the system, which music to play.

I posted this (nearly) 3 years ago to the day. I'll admit, I'm incredibly frustrated that the Eversolo DMP-A6 still doesn't honor the Sort (ID3) tags.

Can a moderator reply and let everyone know if this feature has been forwarded to the developers or not?

Add the ability to choose which cover to show, the general cover from the folder or from file tags

I believe I have read somewhere that the logic behind it is like the following:
If there is a folder.jpg (or whatever names are parsed, like cover. or .png etc. etc.) in the tracks folder, then use it; otherwise use the embedded images instead.

Or could be the other way around: if the images have an embedded art, then use it, otherwise see if there is an image file in the folder, and use that.

First you are right but that doesn't stop raising question on why!
There is a gen 2 device with a outdated hdmi chip. Their zidoo branche shows atmos and dsd can go trough the same hdmi chip . Oppo even proved in 2016 that video, atmos and dsd can run through the same chip.

It is cristal clear the a6 is their cheapest device and we ask too much from the device.
    So the biggest question rises:
When can we expect a device that functions good on 2020+ music standards.
Until that day we keep on being dissaponted, frustrated and eager to reraise our whish!

I think that eventually you will keep being disappointed, frustrated and eager to rerise the wish. Nevertheless, one could just accept - just looking at the evidence - that Eversolo is not going to invest any money in the near future on multichannel devices.
The latest T10 and Z10 are an example, considering the "wish" for mch-devices was rised way before their advent...
IOW - there are may mch devices out there; and if you just keep wishing and getting frustrated here, you'll get nowhere. See, it is not that every brand should follow the wishes of everybody... consider how many different things have been requested in these fora alone... you cannot have a Ferrari, and a Unimog at the same time, and still keeping the price low enough.

WE keep on ..... It is not N=1
I know what your opinion is. It's irrelevant. You want stereo. You keep on claiming eversolo is stereo. Still it's zidoo's (eversolo) only recent functional mch device.
Eversolo is actively claiming the A6 is multichannel. And a lot of us are glad it really is.

I know the T10 and A8 gen 2 can be signs of eversolo is focusing on stereo. They should!!!! There is now wich-craft involved in HDMI. All efforts zidoo/eversolo puts into design is nullified by the construction of HDMI.
SO i don't mind the reference stuff has no HDMI.
That does not imply i don't want hdmi. Just sell me a machine with an eversolo/zidoo software layer that does have a musical approach to HDMI full capacity. It can be build for a few hundred bucks, sell it to me for 800€, i don't mind! Just skip the analog abacadabra and skip the stereo focus. Skip I²S unless you adress all 8 channels. Skip USB unless you send 8channels or bitstream over it.

So, let me understand.... what have you said in the end...?
Do you want, or not, multichannel? The A6 had it at the beginning. Then, any newer model didn't. And this keep being consistent with the line Eversolo is maintaining.
If you want a device with HDMI multichannel just look into Zidoo. They're made for that. And over HDMI, as if it is digital, HDMI is the only means of transporting a considerable number of channels.
I see no other way out of here; and keeping on crying about missing Eversolo devices oriented on MCH when Zidoo have many is total nonsense to me.
As I said, there is little gain for a company to maintain devices that are both a Ferrari and a Unimog at the same time. Buy the one that serves you the most.

You're not doing your pitch any favours by declaring other people’s opinions irrelevant. One could say the same about your opinion.

By all means, keep on asking Zidoo for another MCh-Eversolo. All WE are saying is that the A6 won’t get Atmos and there is no indication that Zidoo seems to have any interest in producing another MCh device. So, any campaigning will probably be an exercise in futility.

    My thoughts upon sort tags:
    1. I support that,
    2. dropped it as request/requirement 1, 2, 3 times recently.
    3. Maybe in times of streaming catalogues and online dictionaries there is a generation of developers, that has actually never seen a record store from inside, never had to look up a person in a printed glossary, and doesn't browse flea markets for records or cds,
    4. or maybe it's because first/lastnames are actually swapped in China, compared to the western world.
    5. From a developer's point of view: This affects the data model, so it should be considered right from the start... on the other hand Eversolo had us rebuild our libraries again and again and again with v1.5.90, v1.5.95, v1.5.96, v1.6.01.
That alphabetical sort offered by Eversolo feels especially bad for classical composers, but is nevertheless wrong for western contemporary solo artists.

IMO the DMP-A6 gen.2 will not be the last A6 version and there will be a gen.3 at some time. I also noticed that more and more Atmos music is coming up. Many "old" bands are producing Atmos versions of their "old" music. They have master tapes, where the individual musicians where recorded separately, anyway. Streaming Atmos music cannot be ignored forever, when such tracks or albums are getting more and more over the years.
I´m wondering, if Auro CX will grow or even survive. If yes, then that´s another reason, why 3D sound cannot be ignored. Auro CX is offering up to 7.1.4@96khz with high bitrates. I don´t think that music enthusiasts want to use a Fire TV stick or an old Shield for that kind of music.

    @Nutul
i don't want video i want music. Zidoo is a video brand. A video device is not intended for music. I don't want a video approach to my music. Porting the multchannel music part of the eversolo into the zidoo has failed (sadly).

The A6 is and has always been a multichannel device! It's a DSD thing. A lot of SACD come in a multichannel format. That's the reason a HDMI port exist. It has a DSD protocol upto 8channel.

    @RolandG
    You are right, sorry,
But someone's opinion can become irrelevant because of the lack of interest. My opinion about apple music is irrelevant. I don't use it, i know nothing about it, i don't care.

My thoughts on Eversolo adding Atmos support or pass through in a future streamer (DMP-A6 Gen3?) are that it would be a huge seller. As far as I know there are no streamers that offer an HDMI output with Atmos support or pass through that are of the same quality and feature set as the DMP-A6. If the addition of Atmos support and or pass through is an added expense just add it to the cost of the unit.

I say all this as an individual that only has a 5.1 system with no plans of updating to an Atmos system. I just think it's a missed opportunity by Eversolo to expand their line and create interest with those with Atmos systems.
