Thanks , I absolutely understand what you’re saying sounds somewhat interested even kind of reminds me of the old quad days to a a certain degree naturally, I can absolutely remember being entirely through that episode with the four channel. I even have some old vinyl That at the top of the album there is a label or print, that states. this is a quadraphonic recording I still have the albums rarely play them There was a popular quadraphonic out then by Stephen Stills I believe the name of the album is called first things first, somewhat interesting I have to say it was probably more problems than what it was worth never really heard any difference substantially speaking but I absolutely understand what you’re saying this is something totally different from back then, I am really not too much of a TV Person, I keep a little separate system a little Teac integrated class D, and a DVD player I believe it’s a Blu-ray. I’m not really certain The only DVDs I would purchase were concerts or music events, very nice one out there at tribute attribute to Stevie Ray Vaughan Really sounds excellent, in conclusion to the rest of your statement, I have heard on some of the other devices or equipment that you speak of But believe it or not I really never actually witnessed or personally heard one in play, but again perhaps something to just look into I thank you for your time and explanation, I hear you on the Eversolo, I would imagine all we could do is wait and see where things go please have a nice afternoon and evening and enjoy the music, thank you again for your post/ reply ✅
I want a trigger in! 3d audio is a very confusing term. Is it surround sound over 2 speakers or is it sound over multiple speakers? Is it either? To me it is surround sounding stereo . Otherwise I call it multi-channel.
The term "3D audio" is usually used for Atmos, DTSx, Auro 3D and 360 Reality Audio etc. . All those formats have speakers above the listener.
3D audio is any audio system capable of reproducing audio in the three-dimensional space, not only in the planar front stereo. So yes, Atmos (with its object-oriented sound geometry) and \DTS, and 360... all can be generalized as 3D audio.
Request: (Read-only) Tag support for SACD iso files This has already been programmed by the clever Maxim Anisiutkin for foobar2000 and the source code is available with every download of SACDDecoder here: https://sourceforge.net/projects/sacddecoder/files/foo_input_sacd/ Maxim has programmed tags to be saved to an .xml file which are read when the ISO is mounted in the player. In foobar2000 you can choose where the .xml is saved but in our case it would make sense to hardcode the location, possibly next to the .iso file. This would solve the problem that many SACDs are authored badly with no or wrong info about album, artist(s) and tracks.
Just add tags to any music files. All my iso files are extracted to stereo and mch tracks. Just read the damn tags that are written into it. Ddf, dts, ogg whatsoever
I would love the display to show both the album cover and the title of the song big enough so l can read it from about 8 ft away,
Here is a other They could use hdmi as it is intended : a video output, that way our xx" tvs could display track info.
There is a big difference between zidoo dts raw output and eversolo a6 dts extracted to multi-channel pcm. I really would like a "do not convert dts to pcm" option for hdmi use.
That would be a bitstream out option. That should be available for all formats that the a6 does not natively decode.
Uhmmm that is not what i want. Dts is decoded just fine. If it gives me gapless playback, eq and replay gain: Converting to pcm is nice. But the a6 is limited to 6 channels, my avr is not. so the differences can be huge. In that case i want the decode function off. Raw gives me much more natural sound field in my 7.1.4 system I want the a6 as transport and streamer. Not necessarily as decoder. My avr can do that just fine. So a switch should be perfect
Are you SURE the A6 decodes DTS? EverSolo previously confirmed it does not. Checking the HDMI output shows DTS 5.1ch that the receiving HDMI end must decode before playing. However, the way you extract a DTS CD/ISO matters. Some ripping software actually decode the DTS on the fly and convert it to 6ch PCM.
Yes i'm sure! I have a gen 2. It plays dts in wav containers, it plays native dts files, it refuses to play DTS in flac format. Tagging does not work. Not in DTS file not in wav container (dts does not have it's own tagging? ! ?) hence the containers. It refuses to add replay gain to the to pcm extracted stream. It does not apply EQ or anything else. The music is placed inside the library based on Album tags. (apperently album was a valid dts tag) All these observations are with the internal player outputted to hdmi audio only output! There is no RAW option. So the output is multichannel PCM. But i will check again to be certain
Hmmm, I don't think this is how the A6 works. It does detect the DTS flag but plays the WAV as a CDDA 2ch 16bit file with "raw" DTS encoded. If you have not decoded/transformed the file, it will only play static noise on a 2ch amp. Either the receiver understands it's a DTS 5.1 ch masquerading as 2ch/16bit and decodes it, or it plays static noise. I have FLAC'd my un-decoded DTS WAVs file and they play just fine. The only way to get multi-ch PCM over HDMI is that the DTS WAV has already been decoded. In Foobar2000, the undecoded file will be detected as "2ch / 16bit / 44100Hz". But when played with the DTS plugin, "DCA (DTS Coherent Acoustics" is detected and decoded automatically into 6ch. If you FLAC them with Foobar2000, they will be decoded to 6ch PCM then FLAC'd. I did a full analysis in this thread => https://forum.zidoo.tv/index.php?threads/dmp-a6-and-6ch-hdmi-out-experience.97875/
@GeNeRiKz Interesting. I really have to look into this. But from memory: My flac files with dts are played as static. (*.flac) when converted to wav they get decoded and outputted as 6 ch pcm. (*.wav) My flac files are sligthly smaller then the wav files. But in foobar they both are recognised as DCA. Same goes for the *.DTS tracks My foobar does not have a dts plugin anymore. It is defaulted into the core! version 2.something My AVR only detects my dts files as DTS files when i play them on my zidoo in raw mode. Can media info see what's what with dts tracks?
Little correction foobar remarks: *.flac codec: flac DCA (dts chorent acoustics) *.wav codec: PCM DCA (dts coherent acoustics) *.dts codec: DTS, 6ch 48Khz or DTS 24/96, 96khz 6ch or DTS 44,1 6ch or DTS HD MA, This all is outputted as 6ch pcm on the DMP-A6 even the dts-hd-ma steven wilson hamoney codex. Edit *. flac is not outputted by the eversolo
