In addition to a favorites backup or export function, a favorites export for the files itself would be nice. As a usecase I'm thinking of copying my favorite music files to my mobile / to a USB stick/card for use in my car / to another device.
Built-in function to monitor the health/temp of an add-on SSD. Unfortunately it's not possible with any of the SSD dashboards I've encountered.
One thing that would improve the usability control app (ios) would be a review of the slider min/max bounds and/or control linearity. For things like dB you could use the current bounds if the slider effect were logarithmic. For example, in "parametric EQ", the "Q" slider values from 0 to at most 20 are useful. The slider max is 100 Makes it hard to adjust by grabbing the slider. Same thing for volume controls. -30 dB is essentially mute, but the bottom of the slider is -100.
Oh, one more thing. I often use the iOS control app (currently version 1.2.37) on my mac os laptop (Sequioia 15.7). Very handy. But it has a performance problem. There is an increasing lag between the app "screen" and the actual device screen. It gets worse with time, becoming useless (5+ seconds lag) after a couple minutes. You have to restart the app, and all is well for another few minutes.
Hello Sarah, what's the firmware version of your streamer? And if your streamer is connected via WiFi, please try again using the cable.
v 1.5.10 The A6 is connected with a cable to my router. The laptop is wifi, I could try a cable too. But according to system monitor, the most intense screen (histograms) only pushes about 200 KB/s to the laptop. Should not be a problem - even so, it's better to drop some pixels on a bad connection than just get lagged worse & worse.
(edited for clarity) Are there amplifier/speaker combinations that require more than 20 db of attenuation from peak? If so, there is a setting in settings -> maximum volume limit -> [ analog digital ] where the default is 0 db. You could just set that to -20 db instead. Maybe I'm not understanding what you mean. Let me explain a logarithmic scale with a picture. Here is the slider: -100 db -------------------------------x----- 0db All the usable range of the control is 0db down to about -20db. That is marked with the X above. Makes it very touchy to adjust volume (and other parameters, especially notable in the parametric EQ "Q".) If the response were logarithmic, 0 to -20 would be more like 3/4 of the control range.
SACD (ISO) play significantly louder than other formats especially since they cannot be replaygained. This is very annoying when playing SACD tracks in a mixed playlist. I would ask for a setting that would pre-amplify (well, the opposite but I don't think there's a name for that) SACD tracks by a fixed user defined value between 0 and -6 db.
Support for playback of Bluray Audio ISO files. The Kodi project has a working parser for Bluray ISOs on github.
Support for playback of Dolby Atmos from files or Bluray ISO. Only a handful of file formats support object based music, my preferred one is .M4A since it supports tagging. .MKA would be another example. Some people use .FLAC but actually, the object based information gets lost when using that container and only plain 7.1 channel playback remains which is not true Atmos. Support for passthrough of Dolby Atmos via HDMI to a capable receiver.
Some user settings for the 12V trigger output of the Gen2 Master edition would be great. I've connected the cable that came with the device - which strangely has 3,5 mm stereo connectors instead of the usual mono connectors - to my receiver and it doesn't seem to do anything.
Don´t know, as I don´t own an Eversolo (because it doesn´t support any 3D audio). But I had asked Wilfried Van Baelen on Youtube, wether they are in contact with Eversolo and he answered "not yet". But Fire TV devices are supposed to be supported soon.
Hi Stevenski, from my understanding, 3D audio, is that not a form of simulated sound surround, in particular for use or for users in actuality, looking for the real thing . from the way it was explained to me this is some type of simulation, idk this is why I ask I have actually heard of this from folks or people that we call gamers. Is this in such a way related ? I absolutely do not know of any higher End and Audio folks using or running such a format at this current time. I have used an external Processor unit for sounds surround using 4 loudspeakers many years ago, it absolutely was a very different experience, especially In viewing certain movies and other content, etc., I was just wondering, if perhaps there may be an association in use of 3D audio Naturally, we all have different likes and desires throughout the world, in audio reproduction, thank you for your post. It appears Somewhat interesting, Also, I was just wondering, could this not be accomplished by running an external unit along with the Eversolo? Again I have no idea, Naturally, that’s why I am a bit inquisitive, Thank you this may be somewhat interesting perhaps in the future. Please have a nice weekend. And enjoy your music.
I´m not an expert in any way, when it comes to how music or especially 3D audio is recorded. But I wouldn´t call it "simulated". In some cases the microphones are placed in the room and also at the ceiling, while an entire ensemble is playing, while in other cases the individual instruments may be "placed" in different audio channels afterwards. That´s at least, how I think it works. Anyway, I have heard 5.1 music and Atmos tracks, which are really, really good. Sometimes those additional channels are just used to make the music more immersive, sometimes to add some special sounds to the music. Either way, it´s not better than stereo, it´s different. And if it´s a good mix, I most of the time prefer 5.1 or Atmos to stereo. Auromasters is a new technology, which, especially for streaming, should have much more "quality" compared to the "Dolby Digital+" based Atmos Music. Atmos Music from a BluRay, however, is much better than from streaming. And I would really hope to be able to listen to that kind of music by using an Eversolo instead of a fire Tv Cube. There are lots of "Atmos Music" and "360 reality" tracks on Amazon Music and I don´t want to be limited to stereo, when using an Eversolo.
