DMP-A6 Feature Request

    Hi.
I really wish I could record a session from the radio or App in real time to the M2 SSD and delete it later. It would be such a recorder. There would be a red button on the display and on the app or the remote control. It would be great to have what you have to say.

    I don't fully get you...
Do you want to be able to record the music from an internet radio (I don't think this is fair for copyright protection), or to record your voice (this is a streamer, you have your phone for doing so)?

I fully understand what you mean - copyright (I used to work in radio), but the radio is not only about music, but also about information and news shows, I also listen to those and on that occasion I would like to note something, or. upload and delete again later, when I already have a 4Tb SSD in the drive. I think it is not difficult to do it. A bookmark would be created in which the session would be recorded, which could be deleted again. I didn't mean to copy a song from Tidal for example. It would be a great help.

I still don't understand the "bookmark" thing... how can you relate that to an event that is already in the past... don't say "this should be easy to implement", as for example, the A6 does not have a microphone.
Moreover, fire your phone voice-memo app, as I said.
If you want to record the news, and listen to them later, then yes, this I may see as a nice-to-have; but then again, you cannot ensure one does not infringe copyright, recording music...
It's the same as what's happening (or happened, that is) with MQA renderers: to be able to be certified, and offer MQA capabilities, they were restricted from routing any digital signal through any other digital outputs; in other words, they could only decode the MQA and play it, or route it to analog outputs; this of course kept them from being able to route, for example, USB in to COAX out... (digital to digital), as they could have possibly routed the decoded MQA to USB, and have a computer save the stream in hi-res... go figure; anyway, you got my point, right?

    You misunderstood me.
    1. I don't ask for any personal voice notes over the microphone.
    2. there is no need for a microphone in the A6 or an input for an external mic.
    3. Recording could be integrated and used only in Internet radios.
    - No MQA streaming services, no Hi res songs could be recorded on SSD. Perhaps you could develop your own graphically attractive integrated interface ( like RP ) for worldwide internet radio and integrate radio stream recording support into it.
    - it could be time-limited, maybe not.
    - it could be suppressed a little in quality, so that someone does not abuse it. But I don't think that in this day and age of DSD and Flac, anyone would record songs from Internet radio, where the quality is not that good. when he wants it, he finds flack and dsd on the Internet and downloads it to the PC, it cannot be prevented. But saving part of the stream, where it is discussed, making an audio note from a news station or a podcast station would be great. You will see that other manufacturers will have this idea and function in their products over time.

Now it's a bit clearer. Agree. There is still the trick of copyright (Spotify for instance is far from Hi-res...) but possibly, this is a thing that can be achieved also using 3-rd party software; so maybe somebody can write an app for this... I doubt EverSolo will integrate it in their products.

One tiny unimportant but nice to have feature request, ability to trigger the screensaver on demand by tapping a button on the controller app. Cheers.

I'd love it if there was a way to play the Neil Young Archives app. I tried to side load but it did not recognize a network connection even though I'm using ethernet, and have wifi enabled as well...

It is not on the list yet. Neither on the NOT working list (but that one still remains empty).

A widget on the phone lock screen would be great, so that we don't have to unlock and find the Eversolo Controller app every time we want to change songs, etc because sometimes we're listening to music while working.

Only need the track name and playback buttons (play/pause, previous/next, progress slider) but wouldn't a mind a thumbnail of the album. Cheers.

Glad you got your DLNA problems sorted! When using the Eversolo as a renderer, does the display show album art, technical info etc?

I may or may not be in agreement here, not sure.

While testing out Tidal, Qobuz and Amazon HD, I find 1 thing Tidal and Qobuz do that I simply can't stand. They take over my phones sleep screen. I have a Motorola phone. When you move it after its been sitting the sleep screen pops up briefly to show the time and if you have any messages etc. But, it's still locked. I have to swipe up, then unlock my phone to get in. This is good. But with Tidal and Qobuz, on the sleep screen, they have a pop up that shows what's playing, plus buttons to pause, and skip tracks. The problem is that it's live. It punches through the lock screen. In other words, from that sleep screen I can hit the buttons and they work, as if there is no lock screen at all. I do NOT like it. Why? Because it is absolutely 100% going to wind up getting accidentally pressed when I don't want it to be. So when comparing streaming services, Amazon HD wins in this regard, because it does not punch through like the others, and that's better in my book.

No such thing on my iPhone. First time I heard this, why no one else has complained about it. Probably your settings.

Not my settings that I can find. I've hunted and looked it up, and I'll keep looking. Also doesn't explain why it happens with Tidal and Qobuz but not Amazon. It also said something on my phone when it first popped up about NOT being able to turn this off for Tidal. So I dunno. Again, its a Motorola phone, so how many people do you know with one of those? I do know years ago the screen turn on thing was their answer to replacing the small LED light for message announcements (why phones got rid of that feature I dunno, but its one of the dumbest things cell phone creators ever changed....that little light was awesome).

For my Android phone, its under Settings, App. Then select Tidal and toggle off Notifications. It should then indicate it as Block. This works on my phone

For some reason, if I go Settings, Notification and then turn off notification for Tidal does not stop the notification.

    Yes
Done the same way as on the Squeezebox Touch.
Settings for what to display on the «now playing» screen and toggle through them like we do with the «i» button on the remote today

    Regards, RoDa

Well, you and @ammar11 were right. Its a phone setting. I hunted around more last night. It never dawned on me that it was a notification. I was looking at rights and lock screen stuff. Dug everywhere. I even went to the apps and their rights. Well it appears the solution on my Motorola phone is just like yours, but the opposite. I couldn't find anything under the apps to fix it. But under settings and notifications, I was able to turn off Tidal and Qobuz specifically, and that seems to have fixed the issue. Thanks guys!

    Yes. All is OK

NOTE: When using that "dlna connect" gapless playback is not supported (I suppose the reason is that DMP-A6 does not take the playlist but only single track at a time)
