Hi, new in this forum and new happy owner of this device.
Sounds good so far and quite efficient in managing my music library compared to other players/streamers that I had to return to the shops as the "search" function did not work...
Well, everything seems almost perfect and I asking if you guys have found a way to manage the device with your PC (Windows). Of course, one can emulate an Android app on a PC but is there any Windows app that could allow me to see my library and play tracks using my PC and not my phone??
My HDD is connected to the DMP and basically I would like to use my PC as a remote control and not using my phone.

    Many thanks,
    Phil

  2. I'm not aware of a Windows App. I sometimes use my Windows laptop but via an emulated Android app on Blue Stacks (I think that's what it's called).

I download the apk from eversolo site
install wsa and use "APK Installers" from Microsoft store (from wherewhere)
don't forget to enable developper mode when you install or update your apk (in wsa option)

Thanks All, I may try the app running with Blue Stacks but I believe that having a dedicated (if no generic app can be used) Eversolo app running on Windows could be a major improvement to the product.
I was using Cantata in the past with other devices and found it very convenient.

i agree that a dedicated app will be the best,
For me the wsa solution looks good for the moment, cause the android app act like a windows app

BlueStacks works well on Windows 10!

I tried the WSA + PAK approach but it requires Windows 11.

Music Manager like "musicbee" or "mediamonkey" do the job. Just say where your library lays.

BlueStacks works perfectly and following Microsoft's announcement is probably the best way forward. It also allows full use of the Google Play Store for other apps.

I am now using our tiny freeware for Windows to control the streamer.
Since it is not HTML based, it does not require a browser window to run.

The program shows a little window in the upper right corner with a few buttons.

The buttons can be pressed with the mouse to play, skip and pause.
The volume can be changed and the input mode can be switched from USB DAC to internal player and back.

Please view this thread for more information.

I hope this software is helpful.

question... when u shutdown A6, the app also diappear... How to keep it on my desktop for ease of accessing?

In my setup I copied the small EXE to the desktop and start it directly from there. It does not make any changes to the system, other than saving some text parameters in the registry. Click right to see further options in a popup menu. You can switch the theme (light/dark), make the position of the windo persistent, change the text in the title bar and of course set the IP of the device.

The APP is actually not connected to the A6 and so cannot close when you shutdown the the A6.
It cannot read the properties of the A6, such as input, output or current volume. This version cannot read the currently played track either.
It only works as a remote control. If the A6 is not present (IP is wrong, device is not running) it will show an error message.

You can close the program in 2 ways:
    1) Click on the X in the titlebar, this will simply close the program
    2) Click on the arrow in the lower right corner. This will send a signal to the A6 to shut down and then close. (In case the A6 does not respond, there will be no error message in this case, just a 3 seconds time out.)

Please note how the volume buttons work: They send signals as long as you click on either button (note the alternating + and - characters in titlebar). So you can make larger changes by simply holding down the mouse button. (I am using this with 0.5 db change interval defined in A6 setup.)

For security, please only download it from the provided link and check that it is a signed by wpcubed GmbH.

My free MusicRemote program is a native Windows executable which let you switch beween USB-DAC and Internal Player , change volume and pause and skip tracks.

The latest version also allows to select tracks to play using a view on the SMB server. Further more there is a possibility to create M3U Playlists - hoping that those files will be supported soon in the DMP A6. If you have questions, please let me know.

    Follow up ...
