I remember reading on this Forum, how important setting the Crossfade to OFF is when installing Apple Music. But in my excitement to get up and running I forgot to do it. I did not notice anything until I played Sibelius’ Symphony No. 5 and the ending was ruined in that after a few long pauses for the thrilling cadences at the end, the unit would drop the final cadence which provided the tonic key for the ending. It did not happen on the iPad or Qobuz only on the A-6. I wrote the company and they reminded me to shut off the Crossfade. I did and the problem was fixed. For those of you using Apple Music make sure you do this so silences in music don’t fool the A-6 into thinking the piece is over. The settings are found in the upper right hand corner of the Library site as three dots in a vertical row.
Good morning Sorry can be more specific in locating the crossfade. I have looked in the application, but I do not see where we could activate or deactivate the crossfade. Sincerely Brice
Hello It is only on Apple Music where it causes the problem. When you load Apple Music, go to the Library page. There are three dots lined up in a vertical line on the upper right and click them. You will then see Setting and Account. Click on Settings. Here you will see it in the upper third of the listings where you set your lossless settings and hi-res music settings. Turn Crossfade off. John Bonne chance, mon ami nouveau!
You do have this seeting on the A-6. The A-6’s operating system is Android and the Apple Music app is Android, so apple kept this setting for the A-6 because crossfade is allowed on Android. There is no crossfade on iOS. However, soon we will have iOS 17 and it will support crossfade so I will have to turn it off on my iPhone and iPad. However since the Apple Music app on the A-6 is made for Android the setting should be there and should be turned off.
