connecting via LAN (WOL)

    I have PLAY set up with a cable connection to my LAN network with a fixed IP address. When I turn on PLAY using the knob or remote control, everything works fine (app connection, music playback from various network sources), but when I turn PLAY off or put it on standby, the network interface turns off. There is definitely no error in my LAN network, because I also tried PING from my laptop, which was connected to PLAY with a crossover Ethernet cable. Also, the LED on the LAN connector is not lit, so it is not active at all. The software version is 1.5.46, but it did not work on versions 1.5.30 or 1.5.40 either. I also performed a factory reset with the same result. What else could I do?

    This is definitely not normal behavior. I can turn on the DMP-A6 using the Android app when it is turned off. It also worked with PLAY, but it no longer works.

    Ah, you're talking about wake-on-LAN... it works here provided you're connected via Ethernet.

    Áno, napísal som do vo svojom prvom príspevku. Som pripojený cez Ethernet a mám nastavenú staticú IP adresu (nie DHCP), rovnako ako DMP-A6, kde funguje WOL.

    The devices have the same settings (different IP addresses, of course) and are on the same LAN network

    I think I've solved it. You need to do a factory reset and at the same time remove and add PLAY in the Eversolo app.
