New X9S user here on 2.1.28 Due to "Unknown Error" message with Home Theater when connecting to SMB, I resort to using ZDMC 18.4. It can connect to my SMB share drive just fine, and was able to play some of the files (looks beautiful) with the external player. However, some of the files would just spin when the external player starts. And once I go back by hitting Return, I can't play the previous files that work, it would just freeze. I will have to restart my X9S in order to play the files that work. I should also note that the files that can't be played with the zidoo video player actually works with the Kodi native player when I long-pressed on the file, but I'd rather play them with the external player. Any advice on what I should do? Thanks!
It seems SMB is the issue. I connected the drive directly to the X9S and the files no longer have the problem. Not ideal, but I'll live with it. It means now I'll let the other device connect to the X9S via SMB. No big deal.
