cant copy files over network to external hdd zidoo z9x pro

What happens if you access the shares on the Zidoo directly using the IP address rather than a mapped drive (presumably from the Netbios name).

no, only movies from zidoo external usb drive to my laptop, not from laptop to external connected usb drive zidoo

 

So you can see the drive, you can navigate it and see the files. Presumably you can open the files from the PC but can’t copy files to it - it must be write protected then.

 

everything is on. otherwise can you help me? you can take control over my pc and do the right setting? i think everything is ok. because i can sent from my laptop drive to the internal storage drive over network to zidoo. but not to the external usb zidoo drive. and from external usb zidoo drive to laptop it works. strange

 

It's really odd - and unfortunately I don't speak Dutch so I'm of limited help here.

Have you got a small USB key you can plug in instead of the USB drive and try to copy a small file to that?

 

yes, that works. i can copy over network to external usb stick connected to zidoo over network. maybe some error in my external western digital hdd? very strange. can copy files from the connected western digital at the zidoo to laptop. but not from laptop to western digital. very strange? format the western digital connected to my laptop? because to copy to usb stick connected to zidoo it works. so sharing etc is right ?

 

Yes, that means sharing is working. As I say there must be some form of write protection going on... I'd plug the drive into the PC and check with diskpart:

How i check it mate? wich command must i type in, in cmd? if i type in this command: i get error.

DISKPART> attributes disk clear readonly
Disk attributes cleared successfully.
DISKPART>

so whit this the disk is writable?


and whit this command: attributes disk set readonly.
