So, i just got my Z9s.

Tried adding the SMB share to Home Theater 2.0 so i could add the movies.
But only get a message saying that the credentials are wrong.

i am 100% sure that the credentials are correct and i have no issues connecting to this share, with that user, from any other device.

i also tried manually adding the path thru the media center instead, but there i only get a message saying that it was unable to connect. tried every possible combination of unc-path, ip and so on and so forth.. but nothing will make it connect in the media center. (couldnt try this in HT 2.0 since there is no way to manually edit the path)

there is nothing wrong with the network to/from the zidoo (connected with ethernet)

so, is this a bug or whats going on?

    please help!

After some more testing i found out that it works with SMBv1, and NOT SMBv2.
So the Zidoo Z9S doesn NOT work as advertised (when i bought it, it said that it had SMBv2 support).

2019, lots of security breaches, and zidoo still decides to only use SMBv1.
thats just ... no, i got no words for what that is.

thats not a solution. thats a workaround.
if i need smb, then using nfs isnt "solving the problem".

    well, they better.
as for now they are doing some false advertisment. Since they clearly states that it supports SMBv2. And it doesnt..

Updated to the latest FW, and now SMBv2 works.
    So, you're wrong again.
