On the official page to root Zidoo devices the ZIDOO Z9X is not yet listed: https://www.zidoo.tv/Support/guide/guide_target/b7ywTwiBwahKKmVViAFMcQ==.html Can it still be rooted?
After reading through the main Z9X thread on this forum, the answer is - no, not currently, maybe in the future. That this is the first Zidoo box that actually aimed for Netflix 4K support (so all DRM layers included), leaves me a little worried that they would not look into releasing a root option for this device... For me root is essential, so no root means no purchase in my case.

access all privileged areas/api, bypass all forms of security. basically do whatever you want with the hardware & os.
Haha you presume it is still working for flashing but you have a real need for RMA. Not a very likely scenario in my humble opinion.
During the time I played with my own build of Openwrt I've flashed my Z9S 50+ times and never had a problem.
Some have dificulty just simply updating the firmware And end up RMA it back . But if thats the case doubt they would attempt Rooting it maybe .
you can Download original image rescue .img for your zidoo or there are some img root for zidoo here AT YOUR OWN RISK! https://t.me/zidoo_firmware Special firmware for Z9s, Z10, Z1000, UHD2000 (with root access, DRM L3).
