That's exactly what the problem is and how it manifests.

But why is punctuation handled differently when you manually rematch (which gives the correct result) and when a source scan occurs (which doesn’t.)

I don't know what happened but everything is fine now. From the menu of posters does not throw out.
Not all menus have been translated into Russian. There are translation errors. On some settings buttons, the text is out of bounds. Can you tell me where to get the Russian language localization file?
    Trailers are not fixed.

Different code - I was told, and I quote, "It should be easy to resolve".

Not working for me either. I'm pretty sure this is Google / YouTube restriction for this HT app and could be region country dependent.
I would trade "Bored mode" for working online trailers even if this means enter my own Google account info to play YouTube trailers.

Zidoo is making HT look like other online streaming services. There is "Play something" on Netflix now ;)

Sorry I’m not doing a good job of explaining things. Maybe pictures will help me. These are pictures of my screen, using various settings on the Zidoo. I have turned on the rear lights in the room, to better highlight how the Zidoo displays info within that screen.

    1) I want this (menus and play bar inside the 2.35:1 area. (This is accomplished by using the Zidoo 2.35:1 aspect ratio and either compressions or the screen cover option.) I can then use the appropriate anamorphic setting to fit the content to my screen.

    2) What I do not want is to have the Zidoo cut off or compress the GUI. I am not looking to have the Zidoo GUI fill my entire 2:35.1 scope screen.

    3) I would like 16x9 content, including the GUI, to be displayed at the correct aspect ratio with proper geometry.

I can manage displaying the proper AR of content on scope screen with anamorphic settings or zooming on the projector. I do not wish for the Zidoo to create a 2.35:1 area within a 16x9 area by hiding portions of the screen behind masking or squishing the GUI.

Basically, have a setting that uses the same x and y offsets for the menu and playbar as Zidoo is currently using in their 2.35:1 aspect ratio but do not apply "screen cover" or "compression." This could be under the 2.35:1 ratio, and then have a "Video Player OSD" option.

Maybe a better way to think of it is is this - Home Theater 4 and the video player are to different apps. Don't try and create a virtual 2.35:1 resolution within the 16x9 resolution, by masking or compression. Leave that as it is, but in the video player app, use the same x and y coordinate for the OSD items (menu and play bar.) I saw a glimpse of this possibility in one of the older firmware versions. It was moving the OSD around in the video player, but didn't require blanking and compression of the display to accomplish it.

Niether would I as they obviously work very hard. It's just galling they have time to add fluff and nonsense yet there is no acknowlegement that is any work planned on longstanding issues.

I've always had issues with rewind for DV movies, even more than FF. Let's see if this fixes that issue.

Also what does "Add editing to ALL and SOURCE" mean please?

Update: DV Rewind still doesn't work.
Rewind works better on a non DV film I was watching a few days ago but it still doesn't work properly for DV films. It just goes back to the start of the movie.

We have all had this for a long time waiting for real issues to be fixed lol!

Maybe when the devs are back from holiday they can look at some of the long standing issues examples below - instead of adding individual requests

UHD DV blurays - staring in HDR10 menu and playing move in HDR10 e.g. Silence of the Lambs
Audio loss when coming out of pause
    Improvement to bluray menu support
    Fix broken trailer function

The above are not deal breakers but still more important than adding new 'features'

On a positive note one issue that does seem to be fixed is when a movie played via full bluray menu it now correctly plays forced subtitles.

Now you can remove the widgets ALL and SOURCES from the categories of the welcome page of HT.

I was having problems with some DV titles stuttering or pausing for a few seconds randomly, but it seems that has been fixed and haven't seen a single hiccup since installing .75, so for me this is an improvement for sure! I also had some movies that were incorrectly scraped and identified as WWE titles. I had to manually correct them, but once corrected, everything is all good.

I've had the same problem with lots of movies and others have as well. the scraper thinks everything is WWF. All my movies are "MovieName (Date).mkv" so its not on my end. it is usually when there is an apostrophe that it screws up.

    No improvement of HT 4.0 with this update;
    in fact it is!
Excellent image quality in 'VS10', improved background noise, just for that I'm going to keep it for a while!!

It is a good release and the guys are working hard on FW. Say thanks' to that and wish Zidoo staff a pleasant holiday. ;)

I only wish attention is shifted a bit away from DV and HT4 which seem to consume most energy. These are currently not the weak points of the players.

The real weak areas at the moment are BD/DVD menu processing and very bad MCH Music support in all existing album formats which are strongly related: :(
    - MCH PCM does not play gapless but it at least plays. This is not a native album format and just used as a bypass.
    - MCH SACD album playback not supported.
    - DTS-CD album does not play gapless and worse introduces gaps using a single track with CUE sheets.
    - DVD-Audio album not supported and DVD-Video compatibility tracks on those not playable due to DVD menu problems.
    - BD Pure Audio album does not work because of severe BD Menu problems with these.
Does not look good in my modest view. Not a Realtek RTD1619DR problem as others manage to do a far better job with it.

Dear developers!!! Please correct the Russian translation.
I can help with translation if needed.
And please correct the text on the buttons that does not fit. I am attaching screenshots.
Many in Russia would like to purchase this product, but they are stopped by the lack of a full translation of the menu.

That's debatable, most people don't need menus and don't play music via the media player, I do it with HEOS App directly on the AVR, for example.
The problem with sound delay after the pause should be preferred, because it affects everyone.

Haha some people just watch a movie without pausing it frequently. Many others don't mind that small few seconds delay. Discussing taste and preferences leads to nothing. I agree with you they should look into that also instead of DV and HT4 features.

DVD/BD Menu and MCH Music support is directly advertised in the sales pages and specifications of the player and therefore must work. It is probably a valid legal cause to return the player.
