Will you guarantee the refund and cover the shipping costs, as the Australian distributor told me HT4 not being as expected isn't a valid reason for return.

 

I can't promise anything, and there won't be perfect products. Everyone may have their own favorite. What can we do is while users make suggestions, we try to reach it.

Woah, am I reading this correctly, this seems like full support for Scope screen (2.35:1) users - in both the GUI and video player. I'm usually one to let betas bake a bit, especially before the holiday movie watching begins at my house, but I HAVE to try this one out! Very unexpected and exciting!

 

I haven't had the chance to test it yet but I would hope it's the bug where shows get added as "Show Name Season 1" instead of "Show Name" even if only a single season has aired yet.

When you open the file you have the trailer which starts up and after a few seconds it crashes and it restarts after a few seconds etc .........
This has been done since the last two firmware !!

 

TV show scraping sadly still leaves a lot to be desired, many duplicate show entries after a fresh scan.

blu-ray navigation including menu gets worse with every update
everything that works with z9s is no longer possible with z9x

with every update you add new features but the old ones don't work anymore !!!

there is again no film information update

and no bd-j support ..

 

Hey, I totally understand your frustrations. I don't think Mirror was being smart with his first comment to you, I think the tone came across wrong but I do think he was being friendly. I know firsthand what its like to get an actual smartass reply on this forum to a question I asked about this product

But yeah, I totally get your frustrations about HT4. I already bought the Z9X and have been messing with it for over a week now, yeah, I was SUPER disappointed that this product is not finished and in its current state, isn't competitive enough for me to fully replace my Shield with the Zidoo for local files. At this point, all I can do is give my input in the community and hope that Zidoo improves the product, they do seem eager to listen which is nice...you just have to ignore some forum users who are ready to fight anytime you have a negative comment about HT. I personally wouldn't recommend you spend $200 on this device if you don't want to deal with the issues of the software that Zidoo advertises on their sales page. Hopefully a few more patches will iron out some of the major issues I have with the device. Currently downloading this beta as we speak.

I think what Mirror was trying to convey in his response to you is to buy the device and check out the changes, but he didn't mean for it to sound rude. I've read a lot of his posts and I don't think English is his first language, so its probably just a misunderstanding.
