Fortunately playback hasn't stop for the time being. This is a real big improvement from fw.86!!

Pause the DolbyVision MKV or MP4 file/movie for 2-3 minutes and when you play you will notice a green screen. What's this issue called?
Anyone has noticed this with Dolby Vision Content?

Yeah, I already made the suggestion to remove it.

Details in the HT PDF in the recommended settings thread.

Basically name the file MovieName.trailer.ext and switch on Local Trailers only in Preferences.

Yes, that's really sad and embarrassing!
So many updates since the Z9X Pro was released.
With the first pre-installed final version it also worked for me and 5 betas later it still doesn't work again!

Unfortunately online trailers have been terrifically unreliable for years. It gets updated, then youtube changes its api, then it gets updated, then youtube changes its api and so on.

That's why I advocate local trailers. They just work flawlessly and you choose the trailer or trailers you want in the quality you want.

Yes, ideally, fixing them would be the way to go, but if that can't be done reliably then I think @blenky 's suggestion of removing the function altogether makes a lot of sense.

Can you please explain what was that problem in .86?

The whole point for this is to go automatically. If i'm using my pc to search online for a trailer, i can just as easy watch it there. Saves me the hassle of renaming it and uploading to the Zidoo.

Many MKV movies stop in the middle of the playback, sometimes at 40min, sometimes at 50min. Then you may get back to home page but doesn't response to play again and need restart the system.

Is this feature going to be within, and also not working, on the incoming 8K boxes!?

OK. That's just a pure manipulation. Downgrade the firmware to 1.0.75 and the online trailers are working OK again. You can't blame google API every time!

    Interesting.

But I'm manipulating nothing - I've never ever used online trailers for the simple reason I want to choose what I see and more importantly, choose the quality in which I see it.

So I'm not blaming anything - personally I really don't give a monkey's whether online trailers work or not.

But a bit like BD menu (about which I give zero ....s) I kind of want to help everyone get what they want from these boxes.

That is interesting. I really wish Zidoo was better at testing before rolling out firmware.
