Glad you got your issue sorted! Might you ask Eki about UPnP gapless playback too!?

I'll link them to this thread, where Wiim solved their issue. Seems easy.

    https://forum.wiimhome.com/threads/gapless-mode-setnexturi-issues-for-upnp-interface.478/

This probably deserved it's own thread.

Also, you probably know this but, besides Foobar, another trick to use gapless UPNP is by using the Eversolo Control app. On the streaming portion, choose UPNP, and all your servers show up. Browsing is by folder, but it's gapless and shows artwork and all track info in the screen - which is impossible with Foobar, because it sends a continuous stream.

I just sent an e-mail to Eki, let's see what he says. I'll probably start a new thread.

Fair play for taking the initiative, it would be super if these UPnP issues get resolved. Thanks for the suggestions, will take a look.

Eki just replied and said he forwarded the idea to their engineering team. Fingers crossed!

That's great, hopefully they improve the implementation. I sent logs to the Symfonium developer over the weekend. He says the A6 does not expose a SetNextAVTransportURI endpoint which correlates with that Wiim forum post you linked where they say they fixed "setNextURI" and metadata refresh issues to enable gapless. Really hope Zidoo/Eversolo continue to improve their products during their life cycle like Wiim have done.

Yeah, the problem is almost always that one - other streamer companies have had that problem and fixed it that way. I'm not a software engineer but it seems like an easy fix, let's hope they do it!
