Let me first note that I have done no blind testing or volume level matching but am I crazy in thinking Eversolo's integrated app at 16/44 sounds better than Spotify Connect ,even when their files are 24/44 ?
You got to a point where many should... to really appreaciate hi-res you should listen at a moderate volume, with no noise around. And focus on it. YMMV depending on how old you are, or well... jow old your ears are, that is. Hi-res music helps your DAC more than it helps you... your DAC already upsamples, so...
What’s more revealing is Apple Music is using AAC for its source on the integrated app not lossless so it’s not even true 44.1/16 as that’s it’s decoded rate.
