I just picked one up (well it will arrive in a month). I waited till the newest update which apparently fixed kodi issues. does anyone here have offshorededicated one and have any advice / pitfalls to it? thanks.
I have one and after the latest firmware v1.039 it's working very well. Every once in a few days the "Google Services have stopped" pops up and just closing it out does not keep it closed. It keeps coming back up with in a minute. Pulling the power jack or a full power restart seams to keep it closed and working for another few days. Power cycling seams to be the temporary fix. The ZDMC (Zidoo modded Kodi) app is a 17.6 version and is working fine for me. Loaded it up with a Kodi 1-Nation and or a Supremacy build and that is performing well. Can't comment on the DD/DTS side of audio, mine is just going into a 24" Dell computer monitor and the audio output jack to a set of Logitech THX speaker and sub as a bedroom setup. I'm glad I kept mine to use this way for now. I have a Nvidia Shield but it does not have a mini audio jack output and I'm using the Dell monitor and not a TV. Small bedroom setup for the time being. It's doing everything I need for now. I have a hard-drive with a ton of music on it plugged in to the UTG USB jack and the Zidoo Music player works perfectly with all the formats WAV, FLAC and MP3. I think you'll be happy when you get it and get some good apps on it. Use AptoidTV as a source and Filelinked to load from.
