Presumably that's using the Kodi software player though?

Stuttering - what does this mean exactly in the context as to what is being discussed?

I was watching The Sound of Music earlier (not the TV version being broadcast at the same time) - the latest Blu-ray - 1080p HDR10 DTS HD-MA 7.1 (played via my NAS). No major issue but at the end of the wedding scene the camera pans out over the Church, an areial shot and I noticed it fluttered. Rewound it and played it again and the fluttering wasn't as bad. You could be forgiven to think it was the film photography but I could not describe it as stuttering - audio was fine.

So some exact description would be good so I know what to look out for - thanks

I've remained relatively quiet regarding this matter because my 2 teenage kids have taken ownership of our single TV for summer holiday gaming, leaving me with little to no time to use my HT, thus inhibiting any significant testing.
However, I can report that I do 99.9% of my viewing/listening with the ATV Jellyfin app (with the external Zidoo player) & do not experience the same level of problems that others are reporting.
Audio is always in sync, regardless of the format.
Only one of the 10-15 videos I've played since updating to 1.1.80 has frozen.
I've had 2 instances where videos were intermittently stuttering slightly (as if the framerate was borked). This seemed to sort itself out after several minutes of playback.

What you describe is what I see. Every 10 second or so, especially when there is movement, the video stutters - looks like missing frames.

I'm now using Infuse on my ATV when applicable until this gets fixed - it's really distracting

I did the upgrade manually back on the 20th after not seeing the OTA become available. Have had no noticeable issues either since then. Watched two movies last night. Will probably watch more stuff tonight, all streamed from my Synology NAS.

Right so what I saw was "stuttering" - what members are complaining about?

Oh and if any devs see this. Please add a keyboard function for do Zidoo app thanks. :)
Entering network passwords are long and tedious on the remote control. Or maybe I'll buy a really cheap bluetooth keyboard for the sake of doing this, if it works this way with Zidoo devices?
+ My NAS is a pain and I have to re-enter my password on the Zidoo every so often, especially after firmware updates for my NAS.

Please tell me, does 83a90j support CMv4.0?

Hi @Markswift2003 , I'm not using the HT5 app with this firmware at the moment but new small problem with Plex App, and only with Dolby vision files : black screen for about 1 second a few seconds after the start of playback, the image recovers for a few seconds, black screen again for 1 second, the image comes back, and so on. If I stop the film or series and play it again, the same thing happens. The sound continues without a hitch. Only a reboot solves the problem. This has happened 3 times in 2 weeks. Nothing to worry about as it's easy to manage.

Odd - sounds a bit like HDMI resyncing - there'll be a new firmware soon, so I'm hopeful these little glitches will be gone!

Lets hope so. For me this has been the most problematic firmware ever for any of the Zidoo models I have owned. So bad I'm using Infuse on my ATV whenever I can.

Same haven’t used the zidoo since I updated. Pretty much a brick at this point. If the next Apple TV fixes the audio I wouldn’t go back.

same, my APTV with Infuse saved the holidays! I had 3 weeks off, back to work on Monday, if it wasn’t for the APTV+Infuse my holiday would have been absolutely ruined….lesson learned, always have a back up media player!

My Z3000Pro is gathering dust, I bought it as an Xmas present for myself just before the holidays and what a disappointment…hoping the next firmware Zidoo sort things out, I’m sure many people have read the forums over the holiday period and have had second thoughts on the new players….what a shame!

While this latest flopware didn't stop me from using my Z9X8K for my planned holiday binge-watching, it certainly tainted it.
If you have to reboot the box or mess around with FFWD/RWD mid-viewing, it really takes you out of the moment.
The lesson I've learned from this is to hold off on installing new firmware releases for a few weeks until any bugs have been identified.

Yea the major bugs need to be ironed out during UAT testing/QA testing….you know the norm in software development life cycle….
