This is to note that the above measure did not stop the problem from recurring in the unit above. Worse, it is now happening in my second A6, which is in another room and NOT connected to a CD player or other devices. (I stream from Amazon Music using a CAT 6 Ethernet cable that goes directly to my router.) The same thing happens when I stream my own compositions from a USB drive. The selection always appears to be playing. The playback screens display and the progress bar moves -- but no signal ever reaches the powered speakers on either system. Both units were replacement for the two originals that developed power issues and continued to fail after they had been repaired. That's the worst track record of any audio device I have ever owned (going back to the early 1970s). I expected better than this, given all the great reviews for the A6s.
