4k with HEVC compression does not run smoothly in Kodi

so You can't sell it as 4k player.
Is there a 4k TV Box with sufficient computing power?

Can you provide video information for this 4K video?
You can copy this video to your PC and use the Potplay Player to open the video.
Right-click -> Playback/System Information -> File Info -> Copy to the clipboard

 

had the same problem , I swap it for X9S and problem is gone , that the only solution

 

@ivo123 So could you play smoothly 4K HEVC with the official app from Kodi perfectly on X9S or just the internal player from Zidoo ?

 

I don't get this post:
what versions of kodi are you running?
where is the file info or link to file?
does it play using internal video player?
if yes..did you try making the playercore file inside kodi to make internal player the default player
did you check the CPU usage while playing file?

why drag x9s and amazon fire to this topic? oranges vs apples
every unit has its glitches and issues...we can only hope the get resolved
