I have the same problem. When recording sub woofer makes cracking noise and the sound is blurry!!
Does it have to do with SOUND SETTTINGS?

I have the same problem since I installed 1.4.16.

Hoping they can solve it in the next update, because I see that in 1.5.0 remains the same.

no garbled audio or any noise.

Recorded audio just like original sound from the satellite receiver box on HD channels.

Tested record v1.50 and file size 9.88gb in one file too. (until my zidoo ran out of space.)
You should use a large NTFS HDD or SSD.

I had one method can normal record . (1080P, TS format,10M bitrate, 96000,2 channel)
    1. first time, you need record over 10 seconds if audio had noise. After 10 seconds to stop record. Second time record audio will be normal.

Have you any problem with schedule? (with power off TV)

The problem with the recording that STOP depends only from the HDMI OUT !!!
I tested many time, with more TV.

If you use the RCA-OUT cable the recorder go well... (!!!)

if you use the HDMI-OUT cable (normal connection):
If you turn off and the turn on the TV, the recorder STOP.
I also find a TV that make the recorder STOP, also only if you change the INPUT on TV (HDMI->digital TV->HDMI... and the record STOP)

Now I disconnect the HDMI-OUT when I have to record something, and the record works
(ATTENTION: is also present the problem with audio noise... you have to manually start/stop a record before schedule ... or you will find a record with "audio with noise")
