    @rkann

Why don’t you do this in your TV instead? Most displays have such settings if you want to remove blackbars by clipping some image information on the sides. I don’t see why this is so important for the Zidoo player when you can already do this in most displays.

Because I bought the X20 for home cinema theater, for use with a projector. For the projector "zoom” function (“magnification” or “scaling” or ”aspect zoom” or “+/-“ - no matter the name of this function) is not natural. But for a media player, this function is absolutely natural. As I said, such feature works on my 2009 Iconbit (even with BD) and 2013 Dune HD Base 3D (BD, BD3D). But it is absent in X20. service@zidoo.tv promised me in email dd. 16/08/2018 to fix this bug till end of August 2018. But after they simply stopped responding and did not fix it.

Because there is a windshield in Bugatti and you do not ask the buyer Bugatti why he is outraged by the lack of a windshield. Indeed - he can wear glasses and a hat. Why does he need a windshield? But the X20 for the price - it's just Bugatti in the world of media players. Without a windshield.... ohh i'm sorry.. without "zoom” function (“magnification” or “scaling” or ”aspect zoom” or “+/-“ - no matter the name of this function).:)

He-e-e-e-y, Zidoo, where are you? ...

Isn't it enough for you explanations what I meant?

    Look here - http://forum.zidoo.tv/index.php?threads/my-findings-with-the-zidoo-x20.43311/#post-80430

    And here - http://forum.zidoo.tv/index.php?threads/my-findings-with-the-zidoo-x20.43311/#post-80437

    And here - http://forum.zidoo.tv/index.php?threads/my-findings-with-the-zidoo-x20.43311/#post-80461

If not enough – look this thread http://forum.zidoo.tv/index.php?threads/scaling-“aspect-ratio”-or-zoom-or.12710/ and this http://forum.zidoo.tv/index.php?threads/zoom-of-the-image.10756/#post-45284

If not enough – just ask. I will add explanations, do not doubt please.

Maybe you do not know what "the black bars" mean? ... So I will explain !!! These are such black (devoid of any color) stripes. I hope I don’t need to explain what is top and what is bottom? ... But suddenly you don’t know, you just ask, I will try to explain that also!

So, I repeat my question to Zidoo – when in X20/X20 Pro will appear working function which will give possibility to get rid of black bars at the top and bottom of the screen when watching BD, BD3d and 4K movies?

No matter, which the name of such function will be!

I kindly remind - Zidoo team (service@zidoo.tv) promised me in email dd. 16/08/2018 to make it till the end of August 2018.

Didn’t you understand my question? OK, I’ll ask by other words – when you will fix bug in firmware of x20/x20 PRO and add the "zoom” function (“magnification” or “scaling” or ”aspect zoom” or “+/-“ - no matter the name of this function), which will give possibility to get rid of black bars at the top and bottom of the screen when watching BD, BD3d and 4K movies?

    Just answer – when?!!

As I said.I don't think we will do that.So the final answer is:Never
Image processing is very difficult. I don't think we deserve to spend too much resources on this feature.

Oh, finally, you have condescended to answer.
Obviously, you didn't need any explanations.

Really?!! Such feature works on my 2009 Iconbit (even with BD) and 2013 Dune HD Base 3D (BD, BD3D). Oh, sorry… I completely forgot. I am dealing with the support of Zidoo... What Dune can do in 2013 is an impossible task for Zioo in 2018...

But I don't think I would spend so much of my own money on a defective player (burned down twice because of a defective main board), whose support is not shy to declare (after 5 (five) months of promises and silence) that “I don't think we deserve to spend too much resources on this feature”.

It is obvious, with such support as yours, buying an X20 /X20 PRO is a loss of money.

    Thanks for the evidence.

So get a Dune if it’s so important to you. Or get a dedicated video processor like Lumagen or DVDO iscan.
