    My iptv was skipping with kodi 16beta4 that came with the firmware extracted 15.2 from the .27 ota and replaced everythings working smooth again tried enabling and disabling the rockchip codec made no difference back on 15.2 with codec enabled no skipping so im gonna guess thats a kodi problem.

    Thanks!

    This worked for me it seems:

    (a little more tech but permanent - my personal fav.) Install ES File explorer and edit the audio policy file to disable USB as an audio option
    • Recommend you do this with a proper keyboard / mouse attached.
    • Install and run ES File Explorer
    • Under tools (left), make sure root explorer is 'on'
    • Click root explorer and then Mount R/W - make sure /system is set to RW
    • Then under local (left), select / then in the main window navigate to /system/etc and click 'audio_policy.conf' to edit it (chose ES Note Editor)
    • Click the menu and select 'edit'
    • Find the line that starts with USB and comment out all the lines in that section like this:

    Code:
    # usb {
    # outputs {
    # usb_accessory {
    # sampling_rates 44100
    # channel_masks AUDIO_CHANNEL_OUT_STEREO
    # formats AUDIO_FORMAT_PCM_16_BIT
    # devices AUDIO_DEVICE_OUT_USB_ACCESSORY
    # }
    # usb_device {
    # sampling_rates 44100
    # channel_masks AUDIO_CHANNEL_OUT_STEREO
    # formats AUDIO_FORMAT_PCM_16_BIT
    # devices AUDIO_DEVICE_OUT_USB_DEVICE
    # }
    # }

    • Click back then save.
    • After that reboot (not sure if it's required, but it won't hurt).

    Problem sorted!

    Kodi addon problem is not solved, at least using repositories.
    I've stubborned found a way, but is a workaround.

    I've used the example from grummel2005, backup addon

    Firstly, i watched logs, found under SYSTEM -> system -> logging.
    Here I have found that dependencies or requirements are missing, and Zidoo Kodi doesn't install it, at least not automatically through repositories.
    So I've downloaded them manually one by one from http://addons.kodi.tv/ , looking for any error, missing addon name, searching on site, downloading and installing "from zip file", and if another missing requirement was reported, I've downloaded and installed missing addon, and so on.
    Now backup addon is correctly installed.
    For information, this is the list of missing addon:
    • script.module.googleapi-1.4.2.zip
    • script.module.httplib2-0.8.0.zip
    • script.module.oauth2client-1.4.7.zip
    • script.module.six-1.9.0.zip
    • script.module.uritemplate-0.6.0.zip
    • script.module.yaml-3.11.0.zip
    and last
    • script.xbmcbackup-1.0.6.zip
    Of course this is not an acceptable situation
    There is something missing in Zidoo Kodi, or something wrong in some place (library? configuration?).
    I hope this report will be useful for both Zidoo developers and other user.

    P.S. if someone find a better workaround or solution, is welcome!

    Can you look at HDMI-CEC with V1.26 - 1.27 and 1.30 it is not working correctly example: in KODI when I press left, left , right, right then it actually does 3x left, 1x right ?!

    Since I bought this box mainly for 3D Bluray and KODI:
    Can you please comment on 3D subtitles ! Are you going to implement this ? Maybe with fixed depth PGS subs like the VTEN does now ?
    Please be honest about this, because if 3D subtitles isn't implemented then this box is no good for me and I rather sell it now than stick with it.

    V1.30 shows improvement on audio Sync but need to test more to be sure.
    Also Add/Compile the PVR add-ons, they worked great in KODI 15.2 now they are gone! I can't install those myself using a zip, they need to be in the KODI packege as far as I know. I am using the DVBLink PVR.

    Hi:
    You no need to download these addons yourself. Kodi download them automatically when network is ready.
    After flash the new firmware, connect the network and wait for moments. The addon will be installed to bellow folder:

    130|shell@rk3368_box:/mnt/sdcard/Android/data/org.xbmc.kodi/files/.kodi/addons $
    ls
    metadata.album.universal
    metadata.artists.universal
    metadata.common.allmusic.com
    metadata.common.fanart.tv
    metadata.common.htbackdrops.com
    metadata.common.imdb.com
    metadata.common.musicbrainz.org
    metadata.common.theaudiodb.com
    metadata.common.themoviedb.org
    metadata.themoviedb.org
    metadata.tvdb.com
    packages
    service.xbmc.versioncheck
    resource.language.zh_cn
    script.module.beautifulsou
    script.module.googleapi
    script.module.httplib2
    script.module.oauth2client
    script.module.six
    script.module.uritemplate
    script.module.yaml

    The addons mainly host on http://mirrors.kodi.tv/addons/jarvis/
    For some reasons, Kodi may choose mirrors which close to you. These mirrors could not work sometimes.

    Thanks

    only a short test from my list to test - not all of them

    I AM VERY DISSAPOINTED!!!!

    nearly all of my problems which had been confirmed from you in different threads and you told that they are solved in next firmware are NOT SOLVED!!!

    ANDROID:
    - Sound Settingsproblem "moving sliders" NOT SOLVED
    - Display HDMI Settingsproblem "Auto" not saved NOT SOLVED
    - dazzling LED NOT SOLVED

    KODI:
    - "funny repositories" now deleted, but all of their ADD-ONS are still to see - good trick - NOT SOLVED
    - cannot install or update Video-Add-On "ARD Mediathek" NOT SOLVED
    - BluRay Menue - does not function NOT SOLVED
    - DVD Menue - does not function NOT SOLVED
    - TS-Files are not playes correctly - not 16:9 --> 4:3 NOT SOLVED

    OTHERS:
    - Theatre - not finding SMB Folders
    - check with ANTUTU Video Check - some Videos are with "bricks" in it

    Info:
    KODI is in 16.0 Beta 4 - but since a longer time there is 16.0 Beta 5

    what do you say to this?
    for me there are no changes in the new firmware - only KODI 16

    I waited a lot, but evidently unsuccesfully.
    If your last sentence is the cause, is there a workaround, or better a definitive solution?
    I.E. editing something to force a fixed repository or a master repository?

    Anther question: may be that we had modified something in our Kodi configuration that causes this problem?
    Which is the right way to obtain a perfectly clean configuration , so Kodi should start as expected and download all it needs?

    Thanks in advance

    Not until this evening, in any case, having my list, you spend a minute to download all files, are very small, and installing them in that order should be enough.

    If you access a real DVD inserted in a USB DVD drive, connected to a PC and shared via SMB/CIFS, Kodi is able to show and handle DVD menus.
    I've done this succesfully with X6 Pro some weeks ago.
    I asked if is possible to add kernel support for ISO9660 (and was at least partially done in 1.0.28, that I tested succesfully, except for slow speed and hiccups), UDF 1.02 (for DVD support) and, if possible, also UDF 2.50 and UDF 2.60 (for BD support)
    May be that is also needed to define/enable correct I/O buffering, may be with the right I/O scheduler.
