How to flash the zidoo x1 firmware

    Part 1: Install the firmware upgrade tool

    Select the corresponding language package for installation (English version)

    Select “next”

    Here it will be prompted to install driver, select NEXT for installation.

    And then to install, the following interface shows it’s successful to install the driver.

    Click “Finished” and continue to install flash software, it shows that all of the firmware upgrade tools have been successfully installed as follows.

    Part 2: Firmware upgrade

    Step 1: Open the flash software PhoenixSuit, click Firmware>>Image(Download link:
    http://www.mediafire.com/file/dpcs9g937h6ul58/zidoo_x1_1.0.16_img.zip download and unzip ), then select the Image flash package that downloaded on the computer (As pic.).

    Step 2:

    ① First, press the Reset button behind the device. Like “1”

    ② Choose the flash cable with Two-way for USB port, to connect the USB port near the power adapter. Like “2”

    Step 3: After connecting, on the prompt pop-up, go on selecting “Yes”, it will begin to flash.

    The firmware has been already upgrading.

    Firmware upgrade successfully, then connect your TV, and let the box turn on, just wait to enter system.

    At this moment, flash process is totally completed.


    Part 3:

    The local reference of OTA upgrade process:

    Part 4: Upgrade online, download the firmware to update, it’s the same as the local OTA upgrade.



    Notes:

    1. Do not need to connect power during flashing; do not pull up USB cable during flashing (It will take 2mins);

    2. If the driver doesn’t install automatically, please manually download and install (download it in the attachment);

    3. It will be slowly for the first time to turn on after flashing, please wait a few minutes; It can flash again to reset, if it can’t enter the system.

    Thanks looking forward to the Zidoo X1 IMG
    Mine is soft bricked, Red light and ZIDOO image on screen permanently

    I used phoenix suite 1.10 after i upgraded from 1.08.
    It's ok, and it's recognize any device with allwinner.

    I upgraded using IMG file 1.16.
    When i power on device, red light then blue.
    And no image?
    Tried to flash two times.
    What is your suggestion? Flash with older firmware ? Or how many minutes need to wait
    Any reset procedure ?

    Hi:
    When you flash the device complete:
    1: power on the device,the red light then blue;
    2:the bootlogo display;
    3:then the boot animation display.This step will a few minitue,because it will install all the apks in first boot time.
    4:enter the launcher,then it will install the preinstall apk,eg kodi.
    5:you can use it.

    Need some help, want to flash back from 0.22 to 0.19 firmware, and got an error in flash process. Didn't select Format YES and after was dead...
    Can it bea repaired ? or had to find another box....thankyou

    THANK YOU!!! I was able to bring my brother-in-law's zidoo x1 back to life :D
    it stayed in the logo for hours and never entered the system but following these steps of the tutorial I managed to make it work again :)(google translator)
