Other "Official" 1.4.12 thread is gone?

 

Yes, its pretty amusing that as I was flashing the 1.4.12 with a blank screen for eternity, the other thread disappeared. I thought the X9S was going to have a RIP sign, instead of unplugging the power, I unplug and plug the HDMI cable and the App upgrade status was displayed on the TV. At the end all is well.

 

Looks like they pulled back the firmware.
OTA link is gone.

After the update the subtitles appear out of sync, how can I go back to the previous firmware?

In .M2TS files, if the number of audio tracks is greater than 8, it displays and gives only 8 selections.
Although the information about the file shows all the tracks!

 

Dont work Auto Frame Rate in Blu-Ray player for 29.97 fps !

These are such mistakes that most users do not recognize. Since they are identified in specific ways of use.

How to get the old subtitle settings back? Looks like the old subtitle settings are removed.
I only get one option to positioning PGS subtitle.
Even if i select: Use old subtitle settings under Advanced, i don't get the old subtitle setting.
(Tested on MKV with intern srt and Blu-Ray

Another subtitle isue: (external player)
Not all subtitle lines on my Blu-Ray were showing. (PGS subtitle)
Lots of lines are missing.
Playing the same movie with PowerDVD on my PC shows all the subtitle lines correctly.

Also: (external player)
HTML tags (for internal srt subtitles) problem still exist. Maybe in the next firmware.

(The new update add sometimes / or > at the end of the last line after the last word.)

There is sometimes an extra letter after the last word like:
TextM
TextW
(These letters are not in the srt subtitle file, so this has to do with the new update)

I'm going back to 1.2.3. Too many isues with subtitles in this version.
(Yes i did a factory reset after upgrading)

But which version is recommended?
There is an OTA v1.4.11 after flashing to v1.2.3.
As i remember, Mirror said on that topic: Don't install this version v1.4.11.
So we go to v1.4.6? No True-HD audio isn't recognised and useless.
So let's try v1.4.4.
Too bad v1.4.8 or v1.4.10 isn't released.

I can confirm the infamous sound 'tom, tom, tom, tom' via optical output persists (I heared it with my headphones). What a shame.

Unpack the archive and check. This is the checksum of the .IMG file.

 

The picture is very dark with this release.

Btw the 1080p auto framerate bug is still there. :-(

for me this FW is OK.
The colours are goods and all audio formats works perfectly.

Wait and see, but at the moment it's ok....
