I am confused by the different options, and there is really not much documentation on this. If I want the aspect ratio to stay true to what the artist intended, are the best settings "Compression" (in the main menu) and "Fit" in the video player? Thank you!
If you have a 16:9 TV then that’s the setting. If you have a Phillip’s 2.35:1. TV then set it at that. I have no experience with projectors so others might comment. As for compression settings haven’t a clue. I’ve fiddled with it but doesn’t seem to do anything I can see. Left it on the default. All my movies and TV programs show at their correct aspect ratio so never had a reason to change anything.
