    zidoo X9S --> Samsumg ks7300

my x9s fm version is 2.1.45.

Try setting 10-bit 444 - there's no point using 12-bit and it increases HDMI bandwidth.

    Display/Resolution: 3840x2160p 23Hz
    Display/HDR: On
    Display/Advanced settings/Deep Color Mode: 10-bit
    Display/Advanced settings/Color Space Mode: YCbCr 444
    Display/Advanced settings/HDMI Range Mode: 16-235

sorry,I tried. But it doesn't work.
When I set as you said(2160p@23hz, 10bit,YUV444, 16-234),my tv turned black screen directly and always black screen.

BTW,if i set all configuration to auto(and auto-frame & resolution off). Zidoo x9s's output will be (2160p@60hz, 12bit, yuv420, HDR), I can see the HDR content without black screen

    Ok, that's weird.

    2160p@60hz, 12bit, yuv420 is an HDMI 2 mode at 445MHz, 13.4GBps

    2160p@23hz, 10bit,YUV444 is also HDMI 2 but at 371MHz, 11.1GBps

So this is not a bandwidth issue.

    Try setting:

    Display/Advanced settings/Deep Color Mode: 8-bit

    And see what that does.

    Another alternative, try:

    Display/Resolution: 3840x2160p 23Hz
    Display/HDR: On
    Display/Advanced settings/Deep Color Mode: 12-bit
    Display/Advanced settings/Color Space Mode: YCbCr 422
    Display/Advanced settings/HDMI Range Mode: 16-235

    thx,tha's so kind of u.

    When i set as u say, (
    Display/Resolution: 3840x2160p 23Hz
    Display/HDR: On
    Display/Advanced settings/Deep Color Mode: 12-bit
    Display/Advanced settings/Color Space Mode: YCbCr 422
    Display/Advanced settings/HDMI Range Mode: 16-235)

    the x9s's output will be (2160p@23hz, 8bit, yuv422, HDR BT2020)

so weird, the 2160p@23hz & 10/12bit can not be set at same time?

It'll be to do with the capabilities of the display - it would be interesting to see the EDID.

8-bit 422 is not a legal HDMI mode so the X9S must be outputting 12-bit 422.

Early displays would get confused between 8-bit 422 and 12-bit 422 because they use the same bandwidth but as I say, since 8-bit 422 is not legal, it's impossible for it to be used on HDMI regardless of what's reported.

Unfortunately the 1295 SOC in the X9S uses an 8-bit internal pipeline for 12-bit 422 so although the actually output is technically 12-bit, the actual result is an 8-bit picture which results in banding with 10-bit content.

The later Zidoo 1296 and current 1619 models do not have this restriction so it's worth considering an upgrade.
