Hi,it started about 3 updates ago,i get no audio with older video. What i found is that videos with a sampling rate of 24 kHz and below i get no audio, everything above that seems to be ok.Is there a setting i haven seen to fix this or is this a software issue?
Post a Mediainfo file report https://mediaarea.net/en/MediaInfo/Download on a typical file (tree text format) to have a good look. You may have to resample the audio, plenty of software available to do that.
I believe this is your problem - you would be better off remuxing with AC3. Zidoo certainly handles AAC but not sure about low complexity files and especially a sample rate of 22.05kHz. I remember having to do this for a series of old off air recordings that had aac tracks and I used Avidemux to remux the audio to stock standard AC3 Code: Audio ID : 2 Format : AAC LC Format/Info : Advanced Audio Codec Low Complexity Codec ID : mp4a-40-2 Duration : 15 min 1 s Source duration : 15 min 1 s Bit rate mode : Constant Bit rate : 161 kb/s Channel(s) : 2 channels Channel layout : L R Sampling rate : 22.05 kHz Frame rate : 21.533 FPS (1024 SPF) Compression mode : Lossy Stream size : 17.3 MiB (15%) Source stream size : 17.3 MiB (15%) Title : Stereo Language : English Default : Yes Alternate group : 1 Encoded date : UTC 2022-11-21 23:00:17 Tagged date : UTC 2022-11-21 23:00:17 mdhd_Duration : 901074
If it is an AAC codec problem (for a DVD rip), it could be your AVR/Soundbar settings or audio out put settings in the Zidoo. Are you passing bitstream audio from the Zidoo via HDMI or are you using the optical output? Can your AVR/Soundbar decode AAC correctly?
I can confirm this issue - if I mux in a 22.05KHz AAC file there is no audio, if I up the sample rate to 32KHz, it plays fine. If play the 22.05KHz file on a Dune it plays fine. Can you confirm which FW version worked?
