Beta version v6.7.17 for NEO S/NEO Alpha release

Because my Neo does not see such a firmware version FW v6.7.18 ....

Hmmm.... I thought you were writing about the firmware for Neo Alpha ...

 

The firmware is almost identical for all Neo models. In fact use my Neo Alpha for testing here.
Only Neo Alpha does DSD native via HDMI and Dual HDMI Output which I do use.

 

5000 tracks scanned in 4 minutes.
With MP6 I had to wait 2 hours ! !

Great search mode at last !
What about the same kind of search with Zidoo Controller ?

ONLY ONE ISSUE WITH ALBUM DISPLAY :
with the "list mode" it’s OK ( the cover album has its right title).
BUT with the "mosaic mode" a total mismatching with the covers album.

Otherwise, very satisfied. I’m waiting now for the new Zidoo Controller...


BUT MP7 seems to have no effect when using the front display.

Like the old days (MP6).

I can enjoy MP7 only on my TV witch is not the goal for a NEO.

 

The HTML codes being shown with Lyrics problems seems to have been solved. Did not see any anymore thus far.

Sample-size is now reported on the Front Panel with Neo models. Not on the TV screen which may be as intended remaining a specific Neo feature?

I am interested in the Neo Alpha firmware

 

The why escapes me as FW for all Neo models is identical apart from HW dependent specifics.

So my comments will also apply to Neo X for sure. If and when in real doubt I will cross check that model.

 

Being on the Front Panel view one can go to the top/left "<" to access what is the left column on the TV for all MP7 features. "Album Artists" is not implemented there yet indeed.

Yes using MP7 is not really intuitive and moving around not that easy.

 

Just tried MP7 on my UHD3000 and the problem remains.

 

Frankly as expected by me.

Does it include DSD => PCM via HDMI for SACD MCH tracks? Saves me from trying that one.

Yeah enough work still to do but real progress is made.

That is the previous v6.7.17 not v6.7.18 I am afraid. But anyway the formal Beta won't take too long to come.

Neo Alpha after manual update to version v6.7.18

I did also a manual update for my NEO X and few days ago my Zidoo did an ondine update with this firmware.

 

My NEO X just notified me that an update is available.
I said OK.
The updating was a success.
And then again the same notification !

Weird...

 

Yes it keeps coming on all Neo models. Already reported that one.
