I have for a while the problem that an external hard drive (Seagate Backup Plus Slim) re-connects from time to time. While playing a film suddenly a message pops up that an external drive was connected and I am back in the main window of HT. HT does not remember where to continue. I have this problem only with this one drive and not always. Sometimes it works for weeks and then I get that message every 5 minutes. It seems to be not film related. I tried all USB ports. No difference. I don't have any problems on a windows PC. Checked the disc (extended scan), SMART, etc. Also Seatools say that the disc is fine. I have the original USB cable permanently attached to the drive. And I am not sure whether I tested also another cable. I guess that I did - but I am not 100% sure. So I guess that for some reason the X9S does not like this specific disc. Any idea what could be the reason? Had anyone of you already similar problems?
USB; aka Plug n' Pray. Is this USB 2 or USB 3 jack you are using? What type of interface from USB to SATA are you using? How about the PS for the adapter? Have you tried another? Which Zidoo model??
If you are getting the connection message every 5 minutes, you should start with your bios settings and check your hard disks' contacts inside your PC.
