Beta version v6.3.88 for Z9X release

Might sound a bit crazy, but I installed the .88 beta on my Z9X tonight and watched 2 DV movies, and I felt like they were a both a bit brighter than before (in a good way), and that the surround sound/atmos was better all around as well. I don't know if it was just me imagining things or not, but it sure seemed better to me.

All my videos are playing very good (last night was Spiderman UHD Bluray ) without any problem

I've noticed since the last beta, when pressing info with movies that have a DTS-HD MA 5.1 track, it is reported as having DTS-HD MA 7.1 even though the media info shows the correct value. It has happened for multiple files. Is this a known bug?

 

It seems technical support is not interested in such "trifles", as well as full-fledged support for the BD menu. For 1000 devices on the old processor, instead of HD MA, it is also indicated as DTS. This is one of many glitches.

Yes, that's what zidoo device users do... they have to live with it.

Anyway Zidoo seems to have done everything they can with this chipset.

& the only Realtek chipset that could come is the 1619B revision
I could be completly wrong .
But predicting the future correctly id be a millionaire

with chip shortage all over the world to tweak 1619 could make sense .

Except for HDMI 2.1 Realtek does not mention anything new explicitly.
Fixes and improvements are always welcome but don't expect big news. New Android OS version is not very likely.

Subtitles no longer appear when screensaver is on.

If I remember correctly, quite a few people (with oled's) wanted this fix.

I'm having a minor issue since updating to this firmware. I use the Emby client with the external player option to use the Z9X's player. It doesn't look like the Emby client isn't seeing the start/stop/pause events anymore. I have an Emby plugin that triggers my Hue lights to automatically set them when watching a movie and I'm not getting those switches now. Anyone else run into this or seen it.

Pulling this as being a Zidoo bug. I found the cause of the issue elsewhere. The timing just happened to correspond with the firmware update.
