Has anyone succeeded on installing android 8, 9, or 10 firmware on Zidoo H6 Pro? I know the latest official firmware from Zidoo is running on android 7. What I am interested is if anyone found any firmware running on other android tv boxes compatible with zidoo h6 pro, and installed it. Compatible means firmware with Allwinner H6 SoC as CPU, right? Don't everyone think that Android 7 is a little out of date? Arent's we missing out on all the features android 8, 9, or 10 are offering? For me, I am very interested in "Always-on Vpn" feature android 8 and above have. It looks like Zidoo doesn't have any plans on releasing any new firmwares for Zidoo H6 Pro. So, anyone interested in this project, let's use this thread to achieve it. Please, if you want, write any attempt you make. As for me, I have downloaded a couple of firmwares with Allwinner H6 SoC as CPU, from "china gadget reviews". I have tried to flash these firmwares using both methods: sd card and computer using usb cable. On sd card method: I use PhoenixCard to burn the image on sd card. I put sd card on zidoo h6 pro, but nothing happens. Zidoo h6 pro boots up normally, as if the sd card wasn't even there. Any suggestions? On usb computer method: I follow firmware upgrade steps from: https://chinagadgetsreviews.com/download-android-pie-9-stock-firmware-for-h96-mini-h6-tv-box.html After I press the reset button, and connect computer and zidoo using usb cable, Phoenix Suit doesn't recognize the box at all. Any suggestions? Zidoo H6 Pro hardware is ok. It's the firmware that sucks, and especially not being updated. Thanks for every little help.
