Other than maybe the box needs turning off and on again I don't have an answer! All I can tell is that the EDID you sent doesn't support HDR10+ and therefore the box shouldn't spit out HDR10+.

I guess there's a possibility it's misreporting, but that's as equally strange as it actually spitting out HDR10+. The only way to be sure is with a Vertex or similar to actually tell you what's coming out of the Zidoo.

    Maybe watch DV instead ;)

There is not much material from HDR10 +, he himself can use 4 movies with this standard, so I watch more often from DV :)

My point isn't regarding the amount of titles vs format, it's that when a device that is not particularly cheap advertises a playable format, you kind of expect it to work (eventually). It maybe does for some, but for many others it doesn't and obviously not implemented correctly.

It would be nice if instead of focusing on new features and new products, they would fix the buggy non-functioning ones that they have already sold us. Seems they're more interested in selling us more buggy products

Why can't we doubt that its EDID has hdr10 +, but it has problems in processing HDMI IN signals? I know you prefer to blame zidoo, just as the previous LG, Sony 9000h DV problem

    Exactly.

There are no smoke and mirrors (excuse the pun!) with HDR10+.

If the TV EDID says it supports HDR10+, the Zidoo will output HDR10+ and that's it. We know that process works - I can easily prove that with a Vertex. Any issues beyond that are down to the display.

We have been working hard to fix the problems pointed out by users. And we are working harder to add some interesting new features to give users more choices and increase the competitiveness of the product.
It's not a conflict, it's done by different engineers.
I know there are some people talking about this topic in other forums during this period.

I am active myself on multiple forums but always say consistently the same everywhere. ;)

I don't doubt the Zidoo efforts for a minute. But some problems which were actually introduced by newer FW's seem not to get the attention we would expect.
Examples: BD3D ISO is one of those. Worked just fine 2 generation players ago already but now doesn't anymore. Yes I do understand DV is hot and 3D is not but frankly a lot more BD's around with 3D than with DV (I am keeping my 1080P LCD TV just for that). The same with SMB in combination with some NAS Servers it seems and DTS-HD getting the wrong channel info. Frankly I would fix such things immediately with the next FW. These are becoming very irritating the longer they last.

Problems with new features are understandable and second priority for me and others complaining. They are above all reported for your information and attention.
Very old problems like DVD and BD Menu processing have also higher priority as these are claimed to be working correctly in advertising since many years, but actually do just almost.
Netflix and Roon are claimed too in specifications but are far more recent. Remove them from advertising and make a statement of not being supported for this or that reason and we will stop mourning about them and I will remove them from my list instantaneously too.

If 2 different crews are working on fixes and innovations then I suggest to do this a bit more flexible and assign more engineers to fixes when needed. Fixes and stability is more important for the Zidoo reputation than innovations right now in my poor perception but obviously may be wrong.

Some cec issues are not always Zidoo fault !

    Sony firmware update v6.7165

Benefits and Improvements - Resolves an issue where the TV does not turn off when turning off HDMI devices connected via BRAVIA Sync (HDMI CEC) - Resolves an issue where an information banner appears randomly while watching content through HDMI connected devices - Resolves an issue where the TV can’t connect with specific wireless subwoofers

I use a walldo with lgc9 oled, but I have in another room philips the one 50" that supports hdr 10+ so for the purposes of the test I connected the walldo to it, and hdr 10+ works normally, the same as DV on lG tv - in

HDMI-CEC is a complex and very powerful standard interworking with all boxed interconnected directly or indirectly. The problem it just will work nicely with a simple on/off when used within products of a single company.

Also HDMI-CEC is integral part of Android and not the media players. The Android implementation is vey simple and meant only for straight TV connections.
To make it really work you need an advanced setup with a page full of choices. If you use an AMP in-between I recommend using an HDMI-CEC blocker. It is not on my list of aggregated problems as it was always a problem and is OS related.
